I thought I would start an online journal to document our adoption. Today I mailed our birthparent letter and revisions to our homestudy to our social worker at Children's Home Society. I sent it next day priority mail. I think our social worker, Cathy will be able to tell that Kevin and I are excited to get the process finally going. We have completed so many classes and so much paper work that actually submitting our Birthparent letter feels like we are making some real progress. I am so excited to reach out to potential birthparents. Now more then ever, I feel like our child is out there somewhere.
It snowed last night. Just a few inches, but enough to make everything look pretty again. It is the perfect snowman snow! I am trying a new recipe tonite in the Crock Pot. I love those kinds of recipes. It is a Ham & Rosemary Lentil dish. Smells good so far.
I ordered a couple books about adoption on Amazon today. I am really interested in creating a Lifebook, so I got a book that describes how to do that. Can't wait to get that! I am hoping to be able to use my scrapbooking skills to put a beautiful book together for our child..

Our profile is "officially" in Children's Home Birthparent book. That basically means that when potential birthparents come into the agency they will be able to see our 4 page profile. We are so excited to have it finally in the book.
This weekend Kevin & I are going to go to Let's Dish. It's a place where you put together a few meals, then get to take them home to freeze for a later date. Sounds good to me, I always come home from work hungry, so having something ready to pop in the oven is a great idea.
I planned on making some Oatmeal Toffee bars today, seeing it is my day off work. Probably some cleaning too!
