| Chapter 26 Part 2 |
| Just like she had promised, Amelia told Justin about her flight and she got it on Thursday. When she arrived at 1 pm, she was shocked to see that Lynn was there awaiting her arrival. Lynn was very happy to see her again and the whole way there, they talked about the wedding. Before leaving Amelia to the house, Lynn helped her bring her bags upstairs, gave her the keys to the house, and told her where Justin kept his many car keys too all his cars in the garage. Waving a goodbye as she pulled out of the driveway and through the gates, she walked in and a flood of memories from her and Justin's past came back to her. She began to think about the pain, Justin might have felt living in the house after she had broken his heart, but pushed it away immediately. She didn't want to think of that; it was time for her and Justin to move on and create a future. Walking up the stairs, to the master bedroom, she opened the door to the familiar looking room and planted herself on the bed. There was one thing she had to do and she needed to do it today; see her family no matter what. She was tired and she wanted it to go quickly as possible so she could get back to her baby. Opening the bottom draw full of keys, she picked the escalade and was on her way. Pulling into her parents driveway, she got a disturbing feeling about something. Knocking the door, she patiently waited for someone to answer. That someone was no other than her sister, who didn't look so good, but still gave her attitude. "What are you doing here? You're supposed to be in Texas or LA with your boy toy," she remarked, not wanting to take her sister's crap at the moment, she pushed past her to walk in. "Hello! Did I let in the house? I can call the cops and let them know that your are trespassing on my property!" Turning around, she gave the Tanisha the nastiest look she could give. "I don't have the patience for you at the moment. All I want to do is talk to mom. If it doesn't involve you then don't get involve," swiftly turning, she went upstairs when she didn't see anyone in the living room. "You can't talk to her. This is not the time for any of you nonsense. Now will you please leave at once?," opening the front door wider. Amelia looked on as curiosity appeared. "Why can't I see mom? What is going on and where is dad? He's always home on Thursdays. I'm surprised he didn't answer the door and curse me out," she demanded, coming lower down stairs. Tanisha facial expression changed from anger to sorrow and Amelia picked on it quickly. "Dad is on his deathbed. He had a serve heart attack and the doctors don't know if he'll survive and if he does, he will be paralyzed," she said in a shaky voice. Amelia's hand immediately went to her mouth. She couldn't believe what she just heard from her sister. He may have been ignorant and close-minded when it came to the world around him, disowned her, and put her through hell, but he was still her father. "Why wasn't I informed of this? He's my father too! I may have been put through hell with all of you, but I still care for all of you. We our blood and you don't tell me abut dad. How could ya'll do that? You know what, never mind becuase I should have expected it cuase i'm no longer apart o this damn family," raising her voice slightly, but making sure her mother wouldn't hear. "Talking about your shit isn't what mom and I need. Like I said before, please leave," she yelled, looking at Amelia. "You're such a cold-hearted bitch! I honestly would never think we were related. You act so much like Mya; I guess she rub off on you a lot," she harshly said, tears rimming around her eyes. Before she made it halfway to the door, Mrs. Jacobs soft voice stopped her. "Don't leave Amelia. Tanisha, that is no way to talk to your sister. She cares just as much as we do about father. I say she stays, you don't," she spoke calmly, coming down the stairs. "I think I'll go, but it was kind of you to say that. I'm sorry about dad," she kindly declined. "Oh, ok. If you want to see him, he's at Sand Lake Hospital. I think he would love to see you," she offered. "Thank you. I'll definitely take up the offer," she said without another word she left out the door, Tanisha was holding. Back Home Chapter 27 |
