| "Oh my god, this place is packed," said Amelia while walking into the club with Mya. "Yup, it is and tonight is the night to get some action," said Mya while searching for men. "Yeah right, I'm just going to dance and entertain myself," said Amelia,"and watch you party yourself to death, ok?." Sighing, Mya turned around to Amelia and said," You're supposed to be having fun. We never go out to clubs together anymore and all I want you to do is have lots of fun." "Ok, I'll try, I going to sit down before I get up to dance. Have fun," said Amelia with a smile. "Oh, you know I will," said Mya with a smirk as she walked away. Back at Justin's table.... "Wait, that's Amelia? The one girl you keep talking about?," said Lance "Yeah, that's her," said Justin, following her with his eyes. "Well, well, well, I guess you'll be a happy man now. Why don't you go talk to her?" said Zahra. The other guys and their girlfriends could be heard coming towards Justin. Justin really didn't pay attention to them, he had his eyes set on Amelia so, he could track her down and be able to talk to her. "Yo, what's up with Justin and what is he looking at?," said Joey with the other guys agreeing with him. "Justin's just been hit by cupid," said Zahra. The guys looked at her like she was crazy. " What Z meant was that Amelia girl just walked in here with a friend of hers," said Lance. "Ohhhh...," said all of the guys with smirks and smiles. "J, go talk to her man," said JC, shoving Justin in his shoulder. Turning around to his friends he said," You really think I should?" "Yeah, you should," said Bobbi," and be relaxed, act like you normally do around us. "I'll remember that, thanks," said Justin, getting up from his seat. At Amelia's table.... For the last 40 minutes, Amelia had sat down and watched Mya dance provocatively with only black men and thought about Mya's distaste for a male of a different race. It got her to think about some of her family and certain friend�s ways that she didn't like, but never said anything about. Her family had always held onto the past hurt of being judged by the color of their skin and couldn't let it go for some reason. Mr. Jacobs never wanted her to even associate with whites or date them. She loved Mya like she was her sister, but Mya was sometimes very unpredictable when came to certain situations. Mya and Amelia were complete opposites of each other and people never could understand how they were best friends. Mya is a party animal who is more into her appearance than anything and Amelia was more conservative, but could be a party animal when she is in the mood and doesn't care about what people has to say about the way she looks. She's a confident person, but occasionally puts herself down when she is around Mya because Mya makes her feel like she is worthless at times. Amelia had been such deep thoughts that she didn't notice things around her until she lifted her head up and made eye contact with Justin. |
