| "Hey, I guess we meet again?" said Justin with a chuckle. "Yeah, I guess we do. Would you like to sit down?," said Amelia. "Sure, thanks. So, what have you been up to besides knocking people with doors?," said Justin smirking. Amelia's cheeks started to turn in a blush color. " I'm really sorry about that. My mind was elsewhere that day." "No need to apologize any more. Things like that happen, are you here by yourself?," said Justin. " No, I'm here with my best friend and she's over there dancing with all of those guys," said Amelia while Justin turned his head to see and turning back. "Wow, she sure does draw a crowd of guys with her," said Justin. Sighing," Yeah, she sure does, " said Amelia. Justin had caught on to that sigh and knew what it meant, but since he was still getting to know her he didn't feel comfortable asking her such a personal question about that sad sight when he mentioned her so called "best friend". Justin and Amelia had been sitting down at the table for the last hour and a half while their friends had been partying, They had so much in common and Justin couldn't help, but feel relieved that he had actually held a conversation with a girl for so long. Mya's point of view.... I had been dancing for a long time and still didn't see Amelia on the dance floor. I had been wandering around to try and find the table we were at when I saw them together. I just couldn't believe it, after all of the speeches I've given her, she was flirting with a white man. I really didn't like this one bit and I was going to give her a piece of my mind. Walking up to the table I cleared my throat to get their attention. " I'm really sorry to bother you guys and your conversation, but can I borrow Amelia for 5 minutes." "Ok, Justin I'll be right back," said Amelia getting out of seat. "Ok, I'll be right here, " said Justin smiling. The thought of them being so friendly almost made me want to puke all over him. Grabbing Amelia's arm as we made our way towards the ladies bathroom. I made sure the door was locked and no one was in the stalls. "How dare you? I take you out with me tonight and you're all over a white guy, in front of me," I screamed. "How dare I? Mya, you are not my mother and you can not tell me who I can talk to and you have no right to scream at me like I'm a little child. I am a big girl and can take care of myself," said Amelia, shocked at how Maya was acting. "You have a lot of nerve to do this and in front of my friends. They were watching and I brought a guy for you to meet and guess what?! You're with him," I said. "What is your problem? I can't talk to a white guy because of what? Just because you were hurt by one? That doesn't mean that they are all like him," said Amelia. "Shut up, right now Amelia and don't bring him in this conversation. It doesn't involve him," I said, glaring at Amelia. "All men are quite the same, they can hurt women just as women can hurt men. So, stop trippin' on what I'm doing and get over that hurt you feel towards whites because I won't change what I'm doing for your special needs," said Amelia. Amelia started to walk to the door of the ladies room and before leaving she made sure she said one more thing. "You're supposed to be my best friend and support me in my decisions whether they are bad or good. If you really are my best friend then act like one and not like a bitchy racist." "Well thanks. Now I know what my best friend thinks of me,"I said with a sarcastic smirk as Amelia started to leave. |
