Chapter 42
Two weeks since Amelia's doctors appointment, she's been a emotional wreck. She became very cautious about the things she mentioned to Lynn and the girls. When she was asked how it went, she lied and told it was the flu. She was very grateful that Justin hadn't come back from California for the last time before the Celebrity album came out because he would have spotted her change in attitude. She was just so confused and alone in her opinion. She knew that Justin had the right to know about his own child, but she couldn't tell. If the press found out about a baby, they would have a ball with the new imformation. Everything he worked for would be taken away because of her and she didn't want the guilt.

She was scared straight out of her mind. She questioned Justin's love for her everytime and she came to a blank about how he would feel. She knew once they found out about the baby, she wouldn't be able to deal with scrutinity of the fans and press any longer no matter how much she loved Justin. She questioned herself on leaving and never returning, but felt it would be a very selfish act on her and the pain she would cause herself and Justin. The ringing of her cellphone brought her out of her emotional stump. Picking it out of her coat pocket, the familar number of Justin's phone appeared. taking a deep breath she answered.

"Hey baby. I'm so glad that you called," said Amelia.

"Thats good to hear. I missed you too. What have you been doing? Are you getting better?," asked Justin.

"Nothing really. Just the usual, you know," said Amelia,"I feel much better too." She prayed that over the phone she was convincing Justin she was alright.

"Good. I don't want you feeling sick on me because you're no fun like that," teased Justin, getting a small chuckle from Amelia.

"Hows everything with the album going?," she asked, curling up on the couch.

"Its going wonderful. The album comes out in three days and I'm so excitied," said Justin, bring a bright smile and proudness to her face.

"I am so proud of you Justin. You deserve that best in the world. Gosh.....I love you so much,"she said on the verge of tears. The emotion was becoming too much for her and she broke down on the phone. This was her last time talking to him and she couldn't take it.

"Baby, whats wrong? Why are you crying?," furiously asked Justin, becoming worried about her emotional state.

Justin didn't get an answer for awhile besides the cries of Amelia."You know I love you right? Please promise me something. Promise that if anything happened that you wouldn't dwell on it. Just move on for the sake of yourself. I don't want you to feel pain because I know exactly what it feels like. My love for you will never die because you showed me how to love." On the other end, it was filled by Justin's silennce. He just didn't understand. Was she breaking up with him? Is she in danger? What was with her sudden mood change?

"Melia, what are you talking about? Yes, I love and I always will. Why are you talking like you're going to die soon? What the hell is going on?, yelled Justin.

"Nothing, I'm fine. Just promise me, please," she beeged. A fustrated sigh escaped from Justin's mouth, running his hands over his know shaved head.

"Fine, I promise, ok. God...just tell me what is wrong? I can tell when you lie to me and I don't like it one bit," said Justin.

"Like I said, I'm fine don't worry about me. In three days its going to be your day and I'll be rooting for my man," said Amelia, doing a 180 in behavior. Confusion struck Justin, he wasn't getting this. He made a mental note to call his mother about keeping a close eye on her until he got in town.

"Ok. That good to know. I have to go, but we'll talk again," said Justin.

"Alright. I miss you and love you, " passionately said Amelia, knowing this was the last time she'll evr say I love you to the man she loved.

"I love you too," said Justin, Amelia hanging up before he could say the words 'bye' she knew she would possibily break down again.

Letting out a loud sigh, she put her phone to charge and went into her bedroom. Opening up the closet, she grabbed her suitcases and started to pack some of her belongings. She had decided in the begining of there conversation, that she would leave and let Justin live his life. Her decision probably would be selfish to some, but to her it was an act to protect herself as well as Justin's career. He worked too hard and she wasn't going to destroy it. She held back tears as he packed her clothing. This was very unexpected and she was glad she was a saver or else she wouldn't have any money to start her journey.

Picking up the phone, she made a reservation for her plan ticket to Texas. The place where she was born. Placing the phone down on the craddle, she looked at the last picture taken of her and Justin in Mauii. Grabbing at it, she traced the outline of his face. "Its for the best. Maybe one day, you can forgive me for this," she whisphered, as a single tear splashed onto the picture.
