| The scent of hospital elevated towards Justin's nose as he held Jislea's tiny sleeping form in his arms. Ever since he could remember, he hated everything about a hospital. Their plane ride to Texas was very emotional for Lynn and Justin, while Jisela was very confused. Justin never thought he would ever have to be put in a situation with Amelia being in critical condition. As soon as the elevator stopped on the 3rd floor, Courtney and Cortanay was waiting for their arrival. "Hey girls, have you heard any news about Amelia yet?," worriedly asked Lynn. Hugging them each briefly. "No, we haven't. They won't even allow us to see her. We checked with the nurse and she said the doctor is checking on her so we would have to wait until he comes out to know anything", said Cortanay. "Oh, ok. Thanks girls," said Lynn. During that time, Justin had taken a seat and was drifting off in a restless sleep with Jisela in his arms. Courtney was taking silent notes at Justin's body and facial expressions. Right off the bat she could tell Justin cared a lot about Amelia and was just as worried about her then anything else. Before she could approach Lynn and ask some needed questions, the doctor came in and everyone's attention falled on the doctor. "Umm...excuse me. I'm doctor Wilson. Are any of you family of Amelia Jacobs?," asked the doctor. "No, we're the closets thing she has to family. Is she ok? When can we go in and see her?," questioned Lynn. "Ok then. Amelia is in a slight coma. She crashed her car into a pole and the car was damaged severely, but lucky she survived the accident and we got her in as soon as possible. There was no type of brain damage, but there is a possibility that she will have amnesia. Right now, I will only allow one visitor at a time and she can't have anymore company past 10. Her rook number is 110. Do any of you have questions?," explained the doctor. "Yes, if she's in a slight coma can she wake up anytime soon like now?," asked Courtney. "Yes, she can wake up anytime soon. Personally, I think you should try to talk to her and maybe she might respond. She might wake up or it might take a while," said the doctor. "Thank you doctor Wilson," said Lynn. Doctor Wilson took that as his key to leave. Silence eloped the room, each person not knowing what to say or do. Justin sat alone in the corner caressing Jisela's head and felt the urge to speak up. "I want to see Amelia first. If ya'll don't mind," stated Justin. "Yeah, I think you should go Justin," said Courtanay. Without more words being said, Justin gently placed Jisela in his moms arms and kissed her cheek. Stuffing his hands in his pockets when he walked into the hallway, he became scared. He didn't know what pushed him to want to see her first the reason why. He was so confused about what he was feeling towards Amelia and he shouldn't have been because he has Channel. Standing in front of Amelia's room, he took a deep breath and twisted the doorknob. The sight of Amelia's lifeless body made him feel sick to his stomach. When he looked at her, he couldn't believe this was the woman he had saw at his house 3 weeks ago telling him he had a daughter. Her face held a few bruises and cuts and she wore a death like expression. Taking a seat next to her bed, he gently grabbed her hand as if she was going to respond. "Hey babygirl. Its me. Ha.... I guess you never thought I would come to see you. I really don't know what to say to you. Jisela's with mama in the lounge sleeping like an angel. Courtney and Courtanay are also waiting for you. I just don't understand how you got in this accident. You're the most careful driver I've ever met and you drive right into a pole with no rain on the roads. It was something right? It had to be. Sweets, I don't hate you. I just want you to know that I will always love you. You've given me something so precious and angel like. I still don't understand your reasons and I probably will never because I wasn't in your shoes, but just remember what I said," rambled Justin. He took that break to look her over once more. Suddenly, Amelia's eyelids popped open and seemed to be closing back again. He jumped at his chance to see if she would respond. "Amelia....," said Justin. Turning her head slowly, she made slight contact with Justin's blue orbs and gave a weak smile. Smiling back at her, he brought his hands to her face and slowly ran his hands down her cheek. At this point he had now idea what he was doing. He was so caught up in the moment of seeing her look at him with her barely conscious eyes. Mixed emotions towards Amelia ran through him like a shock wave. He moved his head closer and closer towards her face, her eyes slowly dropping. Planting a soft kiss on her lips, he felt her respond underneath his mouth. Losing all his senses, he went further with the kiss and she gladly responded to it. The kiss was very sexual and sensual. It was something he hadn't felt from any other woman other then Amelia and he missed it. Ending the kiss, he took a quick look at Amelia and noticed she was falling back into a sleep. Letting her go he sat back in his chair and looked at the difference in her face. It seemed like she held a small smile, rather than the death look. Then it hit him like a ton of bricks. He had just kissed Amelia in a slightly conscious state. He couldn't believe he had just done that. As much as he told himself he didn't love her anymore and wouldn't get back with her because he still felt the pain, he practically absorbed her lips. The lips he would have loved to kiss forever, but never had the chance to. Getting out of his seat, he walked briskly to the door of her room. He had to get out or he might do something else stupid. Taking one last look at Amelia sleeping body, he disappeared into the hallway. Not taking another glance at her. Back Home Chapter 13 |
