| My only concern is the dimmer switch, or rather, will it stand up to repeated cycling. My initial test showed that the unit is capable of producing about 100 watts on the 4 VAC secondary at full power. I thought this was kind of low but it seamed to do a good enough job. I might bump it up to the 8 VAC secondary if I feel I need more power. The total cost was about $30.00. This exercise proved a simple rig constructed from salvaged or, dare I say, junk parts can be built and work quite well. | |||||||
