Warrior's Quest: The Dragonball Chronicles 15
One month has past.
Zhen and Monroe have been traveling all this time. They have became nomads pretty much, only stopping to eat, sleep and training. They supported themselves by winning money in street fights. The two warriors were still undefeated, beating every challenger that came along, and soon they gained a mighty reputation everywhere. It seemed like they were challenged everywhere they went, but the two soon got accustomed to this.
Their journey has led them to Japan. They rode a boat to the great land and rented a room from a old man.
"Hey, what do you say if we find a gym or something to resume our training?" proposed Zhen.
     "Good idea," Monroe replied.
After settling in their room, Zhen and Monroe made their way to the town to find a dojo or a gym. They found a local gym a while later.
The young fighters started off by doing 300 standing pushups, 400 sit-ups.  Then they started lifting weights. People around the gym were amazed at how Zhen and Monroe were lifting 500 pounds each in weights!
"What vitamins do they take?" wondered one man.
Though some of the attention was good, there was also a few bad look. Jealousy and envy filled the air as the more muscular men saw that the smaller and younger newcomers were able to lift much heavier loads.
After they were done with that, Zhen and Monroe went on to sparring. Again, the people's jaws dropped in amazement. Not only were they strong, they were also extremely fast.
"Wow! Look at them go!" exclaimed one.
"I can barely keep up with them!" said another.
"And they are cute too." commented one girl to her friends. They started to chuckle.
Finally, Taka, who was the most popular guy in town, got fed up. He couldn't stand that the attention wasn't on him for once. "Let's see truly tough they are," he said to himself.
He called on 5 of his friends and walked to the two fighters. "Hey, FAIRY!" he called mockingly.
Zhen and Monroe stopped what they were doing. Monroe turned to the big man who was calling. He beheld a handsome, tall and robust Japanese man. He had a sort of evil grin on his face. Monroe saw behind him five other guys.
     "You calling me?" Monroe asked.
"Well, you're the only fairy I see around here!" Taka mocked again. The five buddies laughed at this.
"Maybe you should look in a mirror," Monroe snapped back. A chorus of laughter burst out in the room. Taka's face grew red in embarrassment.
"You think you're funny, freak?" he said in a more menacing tone. "Let's see if you are as tough as you think are funny. You and me, freak, one on one."
"Sure, but why don't we put some money into this." Monroe went to his bag and took out $200. "I bet $200 you can't beat me."
"I'll bet $300!" Taka said. "I will make cry to your mother!"
"I'll put an extra $100 on my friend," Zhen offered.
"You got a deal. Are you ready, freak?"
Monroe nodded and shrugged indifferently. "Sure. One question, though. Are you sure you want to take me alone? I mean, you can have your friend help you out."
Taka felt insulted. He turned to everybody, a look of disbelief on his face. "Can you believe this guy? Punk, I don't need anyone's help!"
"Suit yourself. Just thought I would give you an advantage."
     "Don't do me any favors."
The two fighters went into a boxing ring. Everybody in the gym gathered around, Zhen in Monroe's corner, the buddies in Taka's.
Taka stretched a little bit and showed off his techniques with a kata. Monroe simply stood patiently. He seemed almost bored.
"Prepare to get a beating, freak!" Taka yelled.
Almost without warning, Taka charged forward. He threw a flurry of punches and kicks. Monroe simply dodged and blocked his attacks. Taka pressed forward, but Monroe was still too fast for him. It continued like this for almost 3 minutes, but Monroe still hadn't thrown a punch. This frustrated Taka.
"Come on, you freak! When are you going to stop running?! Give me your best shot!"
Taka threw one last punch, and Monroe caught it. This time Monroe hit Taka in the stomach with a punch that nearly blew the air out of Taka. Taka fell to his knees and held his body with both arms. He coughed a few times before he fell on his face, unconscious.
