Monroe left the ring, leaving the unconscious Taka in the ring. Taka's buddies ran in toward him to see if there was still life. Everyone looked at the elf with eyes wide open. It almost seemed like they were afraid of him. Then, suddenly there was clapping. Everyone in the room was clapping for Monroe.
"Thank you, thank you very much," Monroe said, bowing. "All right, where's that money?"
"$600 all here," Zhen said, waving all the bills in the air.
"You're not taking that money anywhere!" someone yelled. Zhen and Monroe turned. One of the buddies, a smaller, younger version of Taka, was standing on the ropes of the ring, an angry look on his face. This one must of been related to him.
"What do you want now?" Monroe asked.
"You cheated! You used a illegal and fatal move against my brother! You could have killed him!"
"Bullshit!" Zhen said. "Monroe won fair and square. You're just angry because your brother couldn't land a single punch."
The brother's face grew red in anger and veins started to pop from his throat and neck. "Get them!" he ordered the other guys.
The four guys flipped over the ropes and charged toward the two warriors. Monroe and Zhen got into the fighting stance and waited for them as they came.
One of the buddies threw a punch toward Zhen. Zhen simply moved his head to the side and countered with a knee to the stomach and finished with a elbow to his back. He then caught the other charging assailant with a spinning kick that sent him flying back.
Monroe jumped up and roundhoused kicked one of the attackers in the head. He uppercut the other in the chin, foot swept him and then hit him in the stomach with a fist.
"I will kill you myself!" yelled Taka's kid brother.
The kid brother ran forward. Zhen still was still beating on one of the other buddies, but the young brother just passed him by. He didn't even care about Zhen. He was going straight to his brother's defeater. He attacked with a flying kick. Monroe simply caught the leg with his hands and flipped him over his head. Taka's brother went flying over the room and landed on a mirrored wall, shattering it.
Sirens started to sound in the outside. Apparently, the owner of the gym called the cops. "Hey, let's get out of here!" Zhen said.
Zhen and Monroe grabed their bags and headed for the back door. Before they went out, though, Zhen caught a glimpsed of a girl in the crowd. She had long blond hair and bright dark eyes. Her skin was tanned, and she wore a tank top that showed of the muscles on her bare arms. She was definitely beautiful. She saw Zhen also, and gave a slight smile. Zhen would have walked over, but Monroe pulled on his arm. "She's quite a chick, my friend, but if the cops catch us, were screwed."
Zhen turned again, but she was gone. Zhen ran out with his friend and away from the scene. They arrived at the rented room making sure that the cops hadn't followed them there.
"Well, that was quite a day, ZENII my friend," Monroe said. "Almost got in trouble with the law, but we earned $600 in the process."
"Yeah, what a day," Zhen said, but his mind was elsewhere. He couldn't stop thinking about that blonde girl in the gym.
Monroe noticed his gazed face. "Don't worry, Zhenny, you'll probably see that gal again. It is a small town. Of course, you are a good looking fella, so if you don't find her, she'll probably find you."
