"She promised that she would come back," she stated as tears flowed freely from her green eyes. Being part Tuffle gave the little girl characteristics a full-Saiyan would never possess. Her chestnut hair was curly and laid in rolls of curls. Many nights as Vejita read her a bedtime story; the older Princess would absently twirl one of the locks around her fingers. Sarada's eyes were so bright and shining. Vejita joked one-time that if the Palace ever had a blackout, all she had to do was carry around Sarada and her radiant, green eyes would show the way.
The little girl opened up the letter which read: Sarada, My little sister, I regret to inform you that I cannot return--at least not for now. A higher calling has forced me to break my promise to you. Please forgive me for lying to you. I have no other choice; Frieza is taking me away. I am to be his "charge" now. I am truly sorry, my chibi, that we can't grow up together and be the best-damned Saiyans anyone has ever seen. You are very powerful even for a half-Saiyan-- make Papa continue to train you. If I do not return, you are Vegetaseii's only hope. You mean more to me than most beings on this planet, and you will be the reason for my return one day. Mark my words, Imouto-chan (*Author's note: Imouto means little sister in Japanese), I will make Frieza pay for taking me away from you. Stay strong and watch over our Tousan and my Kassan. They'll guide you through this time. I am sorry that I can't be with you; I hope that you don't hate me for leaving you. Until we are together again, remember this: I love you very much, Sarada. Vejita "Sarada," her father began. "I know, Tousan. I know she did it because she had to," Sarada turned to look at Nappa. "You tell her that I'm not mad at her. Tell her that her sister loves her and will be waiting for her to come back," she said as tears welled up in her eyes. "Yes, Princess, I will," Nappa bowed before her. Sarada ran off into another room, sobbing along the way. She stopped as she began to run out of breath. When she stood back up from her bent position, she noticed that she had stopped in front of a window where she could see Frieza's ship. It sickened her to think that Ice-jin had taken her sister away, against her will, just to satisfy his own warped sense of humor. "Vejita, I love you, too. I know that you'll make our race proud one day. I'll be right there beside you when that bastard chokes on his own blood," she boldly declared as she wiped the tears from her eyes. |
