The King sighed at his wife's grief and hesitantly opened his letter. What would his daughter say to him? Would it be as loving as he knew her words to her mother were? He was a harsh father to her, but she had to know he had to be. After all, he was raising the next Queen of Vegetaseii. He opened the letter and found these words:
Tousan, You have been very hard on me throughout my life preparing me for my destiny. You may think that I hate you for the coldness and indifference that you have sometimes shown me, but I know that they were for my good. However, just once I would have like to have heard that you were proud of me. I know that you are, but it would have been nice to hear you say that you were. I won't dwell on regrets, but I do have another matter to address: Sarada. You think that I hate you for siring her; for taking another woman, besides my kassan, as your own. But, I don't hate you for that either. I can't begin to understand why you did it, but I am grateful that you did. I love her very dearly, Tousan. Make sure she is watched after. If I don't return, she will be the next Queen. Even though she's only half-Saiyan, it's still her birthright. She thinks the world of you, so show her a little kindness, ne? I will be back one day, and I will be a Super Saiyan as it is in my blood to become one. Frieza will pay for everything crime he has committed against the Saiyan race. I promise you that. I love you, Tousan. Vejita
The King turned away from his Queen and Nappa as he desperately fought back the sobs that were trying to claim him. After reading such an emotional letter from what he thought was his emotionless daughter, he realized that he never really knew her. He never knew the person she was on the inside. She had forgiven him for cheating on her mother and literally thanked him for the gift of her little sister. 'What a Saiyan she will make. Far better than any Saiyan I have become,' he thought as he heard the thudding of little feet which could only mean one thing-- his daughter Sarada was entering the Counsel Room. "Tousan?! Look at what I did!" The little girl giggled with glee as she ran to him. "What did you do, Sarada?" He asked as he regained his composure. He couldn't let the little girl see how much her older sister's words had affected him. A Saiyan Guard walked into the room covered in ash and soot. The guard was the same lieutenant that Vejita had burned to a crisp. He was fried by the younger princess for not giving her her way either. "Sarada! Good girl! I didn't know you could manipulate your energy!" He exuberated pride that he had never bestowed upon his oldest. "Vejita showed me how. She said I'm pretty powerful for a half-breed brat!" She laughed, but frowned when she saw her father's face turn sad. "Papa, what's wrong?" "Here, Sarada. This is from Vejita," he said as he handed her a blue piece of paper. "She's not coming back, is she?" The little girl as softly. "No, my little one, she's not." He knew that the little girl was very smart. So smart that she picked up on many things children her age didn't pick up on for years. She was only three, but she could already read and write. He was training her to be a diplomat for the Saiyan homeworld for after Vejita defeated Frieza, and they were free to do as they wished. Being only half-Saiyan, Sarada would never be the fighter that Vejita was, but that didn't mean she couldn't serve her people. "This is a letter she wrote to you." |
