After Frieza dismissed her, Zarbon took Vejita to her new quarters. The modest rooms were hardly up to the standards of a Saiyan Princess but on Frieza's ship, Saiyan rank and nobility meant very little. The fact that she was a Princess held some water with Frieza and his men. The fact that she was a Saiyan greatly diminished any respect her title would have afforded her.
She walked over to a window where she looked upon her fiery, red planet. A planet that she was to rule one day, but that outcome was uncertain now. On the inside, Vejita felt defeated. Her worst nightmare had come true. The icy tyrant had taken her away from her father, her mother, and her sister. 'Oh little Sar-chan. How I will miss you,' she thought. A tear was about to escape from her eye before she fought it back. 'Father said that Saiyans do not cry-- especially not Saiyan Princesses.' "Do the accommodations not suit you?" Zarbon laughed. "Leave me," she stated with her back to him. "You don't tell me what to do, Saiyan!" He exclaimed at her. 'Now that she's on this ship permanently, I'm going to show her just who's boss around here,' he thought as he began to make his way toward her. Just then the door opened and a hulking figure appeared. "Zarbon," a gruff voice began, "Frieza wants you on deck right now." Zarbon and Vejita turned around to find Nappa standing in the doorway with his arms crossed. The green man just grunted and stormed out of the room, but not before he stopped and looked stonily at Vejita. Nappa closed the door in his face without even thinking about the consequences. "Princess, is it . . . true?" "Yes, Nappa-san. It's true. I am now the responsibility of Frieza." "You know your father had no choice, right?" "Of course I do, baka! I know that he would never give me up willingly. Frieza has us all right where he wants us!" She exclaimed before pounding her fist into her other hand. "I know, but now is not the time to rebel. We must plan carefully," he said placing a hand upon her shoulder. "I have been sent here by your father to be your bodyguard." "Bodyguard?! I need no bodyguard," she replied indignantly. "I know. You're the Princess of All Saiyans, right?" He chuckled as he pulled her into a tight hug. Vejita fought the hold he had on her, but she was tired of fighting and holding back her emotions. She had been a quivering mass on the inside since leaving Frieza. In her new bodyguard's arms, she broke down. She sobbed loudly about how she had promised her little sister that she would return. Sarada would never forgive her for lying to her like that. Her mother and father were to be her parents no more. Frieza would have sole control over her. Nappa chuckled to himself quietly as he thought about how the mighty Princess's first confession was how her little sister, a half-breed bastard, was going to take the news that Vegetaseii's Princess was not returning home. He never understood why the half-Tuffle, half-Saiyan meant so much to the proud warrior. "Nappa-san," Vejita sniffed as she wiped her nose on her sleeve. He grabbed a piece of cloth he had stuck in his armor and handed it to her. She wiped her eyes repeatedly with the cloth trying to soak up the tears as they fell. When she finally stopped crying, she looked at Nappa sternly for a bit. After a while her countenance softened, then she spoke. "Gomen," she began, "could you please get messages to my mother, father, and sister?" "Yes, I still have some business to attend to on Vegetaseii before shipping off with you." "Good, give me fifteen minutes, and I'll have the letters to you," she stated as she rummaged through a table's drawers for a writing instrument and paper. |
