VISION FOR THE YOUTH

KAMINKAP envisions a united, empowered and contributory youth sector that is aware and concerned, actively participating in affairs of the land, and serving as co-catalyst of social transformation towards a united, peaceful and prosperous Mindanao.

VISION FOR ITSELF

KAMINKAP envisions to become a youth serving organization that can consolidate and unite the various youth-led and youth-serving organizations based and operating in Mindanao towards collective action that would promote the empowerment and sustained participation of the youth sector of society in helping to perpetuate social change for the people of Mindanao.

MISSION

KAMINKAP is committed to helping the concerned sectors of Mindanao by:

1. Empowering the youth as working partners actively participating in the affairs of society and upholding the principle of volunteerism in the field of peace, social justice and development in Mindanao and the Philippines, as well as in addressing current issues and concerns thereto.

2. Utilizing the youth as mediums towards community empowerment and development; complementing and supporting the various grassroots advocacy activities and peacebuilding and human rights and participatory governance programs of the government and of civil society.

3. Enabling the youth to develop skills in promoting peace, human rights and participatory governance and development through capacity building.

4. Insuring organizational efficiency, innovativeness and dynamism for self-reliance and sustainability.

5. Advocating for the culture of peace as a way of life and peacebuilding, justice seeking, social participation, and nonviolence as integral parts of individual well-being and development.

6. serve as a liaison or affiliate office for youth, youth-led, and youth-serving groups for peace, for human rights, or for participative governance and development, requiring regular communication links with the national government, funding agencies, national media and in consultation with its partner organizations.
