them, but prefers role-playing games. She
especially loves Final Fantasy, and all versions
of it, though she also likes Chrono Cross and
stuff like Donkey Kong Country and Clay Fighters. |

them but only if it's a game he's particularly
interested in. He doesn't play them over and over
again like Diane does, though. He's also more
adventurous about the different types of games
he'll try. He also tends to prefer computer games
rather than Playstation or Nintendo. |
...cannot figure out
what we find so exciting about staring at the
noisy box and playing with the plastic thingy
with the long wire for a tail. |

...loves to go to
movies and will see just about anything. Will see
funny/funny movies but not dumb/funny movies.
Absolutely loves most Sci-Fi or adventure movies,
and likes to see any Disney movie. |
...likes to
occasionally see a movie, but prefers to wait for
video UNLESS it's a Star Trek movie. Absolutely
will not see any romance, but doesn't mind good
drama. Will only go to a theater if he's got a
craving for movie popcorn. |
...only see movies
as a useful opportunity to nap on top of us,
because they know we're about to sit still for a
couple of hours. |

...is very
interested in role-playing games and table-top
games, but is not very good at them. She still
has fun, though. It helps that she can laugh at
herself. |
...loves to game,
and will try almost anything. His particular
favorites are Warhammer, Battletech, and Dungeons
& Dragons. He is busy putting a gaming room
in their basement and is trying to get a regular
gaming group together. He leaves the painting of
the miniature figures to Diane. |
...love to knock off
the dice and miniature figures and playing pieces
when we game. We've even indulged them sometimes
and made kitty house rules out of their antics. |

...enjoys collecting
Enesco's Calico Kittens, Randall Spangler art
prints, and of course, cat stuff. Surprisingly,
most of the cat stuff decorating their house were
gifts from friends and family. And of course we
collect cats. |
...also likes
Randall Spangler art prints, which is good
because it's all over the living room. Also
collects figures for Warhammer, as many as
possible. He just doesn't like to paint them. |
...could care less
about the little knick knacks scattered about the
house. If it's not edible or a toy, it's useless. |

...is absolutely
addicted to books and is considered dangerous in
any bookstore. Particularly likes Sci-Fi and
Fantasy, as well as Mystery, Classic Fiction, and
of course, any cat books. Will spend hours in the
bookstore just looking then deciding what she has
to buy later. Current favorite is the entire Left
Behind series and related books. |
...is just as
addicted to books and is even more dangerous in a
bookstore. Prefers Sci-Fi and some Fantasy and
has a tendency to buy whole trilogies and series
at a time. Also loves Do-It-Yourself books now
that we have a house. Current favorite is the
Shadowrun series, though he's having a hard time
finding some of the older ones. |
...see books as seat
cushions or chew toys. |
| Crosstitch |
...loves to do
crosstitch but is not very consistent about
getting stuff done. Has about four projects in
the works, and a pile of patterns that will not
be done for years. She still buys more,
especially when she finds a particularly cute cat
pattern that she HAS to have. |
...likes the
patterns enough that he sometimes picks out ones
for Diane to do for him. |
...love to try and
get the string that moves around so enticingly.
Jackie Chan has cost me quite a bit of money
after pulling out the stitches on some of my
projects. |

Improvement |
...is having a good
time fixing up their new house. She is being very
careful not to take on any projects she knows
nothing about, but is willing to learn. Having to
do all this has increased the book collection
even further. |
...has many plans on
what can be done to the new house, but keeps
changing them. Eventually he and Diane will
decide on a project, but then take lots of time
getting it done. Good thing we enjoy going to
hardware stores. |
...are getting sick
and tired of us changing things around all the
time. And if we don't stop with all the noise
soon, they're going to shred our socks. |
| Photography |
...loves to take
pictures, especially if it's of the cats. Also
loves to get frames and hang them around the
house or put the pictures in scrapbooks and
albums. Someday she might actually try shooting
something else, but it's doubtful. |
...loves to take
pictures, especially if it's of the cats or of
Diane with a cat. Hates to have his picture taken
though, so will generally ruin any attempts to do
so by ducking or hiding. |
...react to the
camera in their own individual ways. Some ignore
me as I try to get their attention, others act
more goofy, while others immediately move thus
ruinging the shot. Well, serves them right if all
I get are butt shots. ;-P |

...loves to collect
clipart. Has far too many books and CDs and will
never use all the clipart she's gathered. Has
also tried to draw her own clipart with moderate
success. Diane spends hours on this web page, and
on the site for her favorite cat shelter, the Cat
Association of Topeka. |
...somewhat likes
clipart but only if it's of a subject he's
interested in. Likes to have some input on the
web page content, but lets Diane do most of the
work since she seems to know what she's doing. |
...only know about
clipart and web pages in so much that it makes
mommy spend more time at the computer when she
should be paying attention to them. |
