Okay, so these aren't screenshots from Star Wars Galaxies, but they are Star Wars related and I
didn't feel like making a whole new page for them.
The Boston Museum of Science is running an exhibit called Star Wars: Where Science
Meets Imagination and I took a trip up there to see it. The exhibit focuses on how
real-world technology matches up to Star Wars technology. I don't think the items on display
were real props (except for maybe some of the clothing), but it was still neat to see them.
There are lots of hands-on experient stuff you can do, like playing with magnets to make things
hover like a landspeeder's repulsorlift. This is a traveling exhibit, so take a look at the
link above and see if it is going to be anywhere near your town.
There is also a separate attraction, the Millenium Falcon simulator, which was
described as being a mockup of the Falcon's cockpit, but it wasn't a very accurate
replica. They show a 4.5 minute film clip as they take you around our galaxy. On the plus
side, the woman running the thing was pretty cute, but thinking back on it now, Does the
hyperdrive work? probably wasn't the smoothest of pickup lines.
I have to apologize for some of the pictures. I had to take the camera out of idiot mode to force
the flash off so I think it messed with the focus in some cases. Not to mention that everytime
I lined up a shot, some little kid would run in front of it and get in the way. A lot of the pictures
had a span of about 3 seconds for me to lift the camera up and snap the shot... and it shows.
- 21B
or not 21B, that is the question
It looks like this medical droid does exactly what it does in Galaxies... nothing.
- AAT
Naboo makes preparations in case the droid army returns... every hill is now equipped with
fire hoses in case of invasion.
- Anakin's
secret identity
I don't know why I didn't notice this before... Anakin was a Jawa!
- Help
me Obi-Wan Kenobi...
... when I told the image designer that I wanted face #18, this isn't what I meant!
- Rrrrogerrr,
rrrooggeerrrr
An example of a miscommunication between the Techno Union and the Genonosians. They battle droids were
supposed to be programmed in Java, but the Genonosians just added coffee to the droids' oil mixture instead.
- Does
the hyperdrive work?
/kick Kalabakk
- Carbonite
schmarbonite
Jabba should have just done this instead (yes, I know Jabba didn't really have a say in it). I think the
sign says, Please feed the Wookiee.
- I wouldn't
have given 2000 credits for this
And Luke had the nerve to say, What a piece of junk, about the Falcon?
- Spinning
is a good move
The battle isn't going too well... this fighter is just hanging on by a few threads.
- Use
the Focus, Luke
I already explained the focus thing!
- Sunblock
5000
I guess Padme must have been wearing some amazing sunblock. I would have been bright red after walking
around on Tatooine for a few days.
- Hidden
level
One of the hidden levels in Battlefront II that didn't make the final cut... the 501st division is given
a mission to stand in a glass case all day and leave their weapons on the rack beside them.
- That
armor's too strong for...
... cameras?
- Whoever
smelt it dealt it
Judging by the look of the snowtrooper, I'd say the Wampa just cut one.

from the masters
Focus, focus, you must learn focus!
