A CHANGE OF SEASONS
| Behind my eyes silently the pictures unroll, Silent streets caught in silent frames, An unsympathetic wind ushering falen leaves on their last journey towards eternal rest and oblivion. The white canopy descends soft as a lover's hand on her soft pale cheek, wiping off pearl-like tears, saying "All is well. this is but a change of seasons, a turn of the wheel." And children, groups of two or three treading along, burying half of their growing bodies in the white softness, their laughters frozen into geometric crystals, sparkles of their eyes dulled as they also know: they come, they go, they are replaced. Ten thousand lights, burst into flames of yellow and red and fluoresant blue in total silence a befitting salute a solemn Requiem for every passing soul... | This is one I wrote for Claudia. |
GROUNDED ANGEL
I know her well I've seen her soul Her kind heart shines A beacon in the darkness She cares like no other Whether she has met them or not She touches many lives With the softness of her words Some day the Earthly light will dim And the world will grow dark But the heavens will shine bright As they welcome home a once grounded angel
And one for Contessa (yes, it's the same Contessa from my links page) She is a very special lady and one I am honored to know
CONTESSA
Her tool is a caring heart Her strength is her love She comforts those in need And supports those who fall Her soul radiates compassion She welcomes all who come Offering words of kindness And helping them find their way She works her magic daily Helping others to look their best Bringing joy to those she's touched And light to darkened lives
