About Me

I grew up in Yorba Linda in Southern California and I attended college at the University of California, Berkeley, where my major was Film Studies. I finished school in 2004, spent some time working and spent half a year in Beijing, China, where I worked for China Central Television 10 (CCTV-10). Currently I am an unpublished screenwriter. My goal is to make enough money to direct and produce my own independent films.

I love film so much and for so many reasons. I view film as one of the greatest achievements of human civilization, perhaps the same way a lot of people view the computer or satellites. For me, a Hollywood film represents the collaborative efforts of an incredible amount of talented people. Just the normal budget of a film is the life earnings of several hundreds of the average American middle class worker. Film truly represents the best of what mankind can accomplish as a society.

One thing that many people don't know about me is that sometimes I'll cry at movies... for a really stupid reason. I cry when I see enormous objects on film. Yup, I was balling during Jurassic Park when I saw that brontosaurus.

I'm slightly anti social in that I dislike large societies. I feel that large societies inevitably end up oppressing the people in them. The purpose of society is to serve the people, not the other way around. I feel that American society traps the average person in economic, racial or gender- based boxes. Each of the other societies that I'm familiar with, such as China and Japan, also have enormous faults. People should unite and overthrow the society that traps them. If you don't like the way the world is, change it. You are not beholden to anyone. One day you will be the society so there is no reason why the world should be screwed up. I don't understand why people treat others maliciously or poorly. I don't truly understand contempt because I have never felt it. People always have a reason for making their choices. I've been very fortunate in life and am well aware of it.

I love all forms of art and gaming. I am only truly happy when I feel passion. I am starting to leave gaming behind though, because I've realized that passion is precious and limited and it is too much of a waste to spend it on gaming.
