Troop 46, Longwood,Florida,  1982 - 1997
In 1982, two Assistant Scoutmasters of Troop 234 in Longwood decided to create a new Scout troop.  Win Davis and Keith Birkemeyer established Troop 46, a troop which grew as large as 60 boys, bought a used Greyhound bus and travelled the world.

This site is a reunion and memorial site for a troop that can be called "legendary."  It is dedicated to all the men, women and boys who were part of the troop in those years, but especially to the memory to two men  without whose contributions it wouldn't have been the same:

                Donald J. Owens
                     1933-1998

      William "Green Bar Bill" Hillcourt
                     1900 - 1992

In 2003, in Kailua, Hawai'i, Win and Keith decided the time had come to have a presence on the web.  Here it is.  Like the troop itself, we start small and see where it goes from here.

We welcome thoughts and contributions of pictures, music, video clips or anything else that helps us to remember Troop 46.  Whjen you visit our Photo Gallery, you will see some shots of Scouts from Troop 234.  In the early days of the troop, most of us had been in both troops.
