Thank you for your interest in the game, but we are not currently looking for any more players. 
"Gather 'round friends, gather 'round.  I dunna want to be shoutin' me tale!"  The dwarf looked ancient, so he must have been hundreds of years old.  His long white beard and hair had a streak or two of dark brown, but othe than that it was almost entirely white.  He still wore his beard in the braids of a warrior, and his scarred flesh hinted at stories of battles long past.

He waited until everyone was close and the noise of their movements had settled before he continued.  "So, 'twould appear as though there still be a few brave souls in the world after all.  Ye all answered me summons even though it said there'd be great danger and 'twas likely that some or all o' ye wouldn't be comin' back alive.  Why would ye do such a thing?  Fer the chance at riches beyond yer imagination?  Fer the thrill of adventure!?  Or maybe just to prove yer the toughest bad arse in the whole area?  Well I dunna care really.  All those be good reasons."

The old dwarf looked from one face to the next, "If'n ye be thinkin' that the summons was just tryin to scare people off, ye can rest assured that the task I'm askin' ye to do be every bit as dangerous as the summons described.  And more."
He looked very weary and he started coughing.  After a quick drink of a mug of what could only be Dwarven Spirits, the dwarf wiped his eyes and then continued.  "Hundreds of years ago me Great Grandda is rumored to have lead a band of dwarves on a mission to establish a new Dwarven kingdom.  Grandda, Kaelar Ironstepper, was the high priest of the Dwarven kingdom and it is said that he took a large cache of treasure from the Dwarven stronghold and snuck out under cover of darkness.  No one knows how he got away or how many of his followers left with him, the stories vary widely dependin' on who be tellin' them.  But one thing's fer sure.  He did leave, and he did take followers and treasure.  And they was never seen again!"  His coughing continued for a bit and then the Dwarf continued.

"Fer years I have been lookin' fer clues to the where'bouts o' this hidden kingdom.  Over a hundred years ago I found clues that they made it to a secluded mountainous area and began carvin' out a new life.  But the location kept eluding me."

There was a long pause, and then suddenly the Dwarf said, "Until now!  Now, when I finally know where it be... me back is no longer strong enough to swing a sword!  Imagine my frustration after lookin' all these years.  But now... now I need strong, brave, and powerful allies.  Together we will locate the Lost Kingdom of Kaeldar!  Together we will find treasure beyond measure!"  His laughter turned into a fit of coughing.
Welcome to the website for the Lost Kingdom of Kaeldar PBeM game!  The scene above is the setting right at the beginning of the game.  You've met the old Dwarf, now it's time for us to find that band of brave adventurers who will accompany him to discover the treasures of this lost Dwarven kingdom!

I am currently looking for a party of 4 to 6 characters, and I would like a fairly well-rounded party.  I have not yet accepted anyone into the game.  I plan to accept character submissions for a few days and then I will begin to make my selections.  In my opinion, the Players are the most important key to a successful game, so I want to make sure that we get some great players for this adventure!
Each character will start out with an ECL (effective character level) of 4.  So, you can be a 4th level single-class character, or you can multi-class if you would like.  Characters will begin with some magic items (I will present you with choices once everyone is selected).  The game will be set in Forgotten Realms and we'll begin in Cormyr.  Characters will be built using the rules in the Player's Handbook and the Forgotten Realms guide.  I am planning to use D&D 3.5 rules, but I have several modifications for combat to make things go quickly and smoothly in combat in a PBeM setting.

If you have been looking for a good ol' fashion Dungeon Crawl with a nice mix of mystery, magic, and plenty of battle then you've come to the right place.  Of course roleplaying will be a big part of the game, but there will be soo much more to it than just everyone chatting with each other.
