Information on the CFA program can be found on www.aimr.org 

The CFA exam is given once a year, generally the first Saturday in June. The CFA has three levels and a candidate can take only one exam in a year.  Therefore, the shortest time to complete CFA program’s three levels is 3 years.

To apply for the CFA program, you need to contact AIMR to send you an application form.

Usually, AIMR starts accepting applications from September for the exams in the following year.  Be aware that the fees for exams go up as time goes on, starting from $500 upto $1000.  

5. Calculator policy

Only two kinds of calculators are acceptable at the exam. One is HP 12C and the other is Texas Instrument BA II Plus.  If you do not own any , I recommend you buy TI BA II Plus.  It is much easier to use.
