___Transportantion___
Starships - vessels capable of traveling through space at speeds greater than light by means of a powerful engine. This engine creates a subspace rift through which the ship may pass. Precise calculations are required before any such attempt can be made.
Star Fighters - small space vessels built for manuverability and speed. Usually only one to two people aboard... If two are aboard, one pilots, and the other defends the ship.
Escape Pods (Esc. Ps) - life pods attached to most ships. If the main ship is badly damaged or destroyed, the crew retreats to the Esc. Pods. The pods keep them alive until they can be rescued.

flexies - hand-held computer pads capable of storing and displaying data. 90% of their exterior surface is occupied by a semi-transparent, touch-activated screen where, when activated, the data can be viewed. The pads are roughly a quarter of an inch thick.
blasters - guns which fire energy pulses of varying strength and intensity
vaporizors - energy weapons which vaporize the target upon contact
sonic gernades - very powerful hand-thrown explosives
pulsars - defensive weapon used during hand to hand combat to blind the enemy
zike - ancient weapon of unknown origin. Only the highly skilled warriors attempt to use it. The whip is capacle of slashing a hole right through the best titanium hulls when activated. Just imagine what kind of damage it could do to YOU...
An Algorithm, or code key, may be aquired and used to "translate" the text from code to recogniseable language.
Ship-based Artifical Intelligence - this technology is fairly young, and not yet widely used. An artificail intelligence is programed into a ship's main computer. It supervises, controls, and guides all computer functions. It serves as the "brain" of a starship. But the catpain and senior officers have verbal codes which can bipass or deactivate the A.I. if need be.
Artificial Intelligence Droids - this is my category. Robotic beings created to perform tasks... from calculating for rift jumps and repairing damaged computer systems to babysitting.
