My family has been a wonderful part of my life here at LAS. I must admit that it took some getting used to answering to mom but now I rather like it. My family consist of my wonderful husband Al Maturo, and thirteen lovely children from all over the world.
We celebrate birthdays together; go out to dinner every once in a while; go on trips once a semester; and meet twice a week to catch up.

Coaching the girls soccer team proved to be another great experience for me this year. Unlike my teams back in the states, we only practice two or three times a week with only four tournaments of competition. Tournaments were weekend trips of overnight travel and consisted of up to three games in one day.  Our team was quite small this year with only 11 players (in other words - no substitutes). Although the teams experience with the sport was much less than I was used to, the girls spirit was fun as usual and still a pleasure to coach.
