Motor Sports In Ontario Canada

There are many
forms of motor sport in Ontario. Most, if not all of these are grassroots style
competitions. Fans can relate much more easily to a truck and tractor pulling
event because it is not so far removed that they can actually participate,
unlike other types such as a NASCAR or an IHRA event.
For some reason, very few of the competitors have pursued corporate sponsorship.
Given that almost half of the nation's population reside in Ontario, there is
incredible opportunity for promotion of one's product and services.
With the exception of the Olympics and the Winter Games, no other spectator
sport enjoys a larger audience than motor sport in Ontario. Truck and
tractor pulling is one of the fastest growing sports in all of North America
with many televised events now in the US soon to spill over to the Ontario
venues as well.
Every weekend from late May until October there is at least one event and
sometimes two, three or four. All of these events are heavily attended with an
average of 4,000 - 5,000 spectators and many more indirectly. Recently it
was announced by Attractions Canada that the Fergus Truck Show, which includes 3
days of truck and tractor pulling, was voted the number one attraction in all of
Canada!
