I would hereby highly recommend Kendall De Menech and "K9-H2O" - the indoor Canine Aquatic Centre. Kendall De Menech, under the guidance of many professionals, has developed a unique pool based physical therapy program for pets for post-operative care, for management of chronic-arthritic conditions and for use in a comprehensive, pet weight loss program. I am excited about working with Kendall to develop a program to improve the health and well being of your beloved pets. Signed: Dr. Edwin Mulder Ten Kate Gladwin Veterinary Clinic Abbotsford, B.C. |

K9-H2O is a program finally arrived and long time overdue. Our Shih Tzu, Tiko, has been under the guidance of Kendall in her beautiful pool and he absolutely adores her. Her gentle and assuring methods of swimming therapy has made Tiko into a strong animal and the water therapy has increased his ability to maintain long walks in his cart. He almost keeps up with his buddy Taz our Maltese. His quality of life has improved by allowing him to become stronger and although he hasn't the use of his hind legs, with therapy swimming and Kendalls care, we are optimistic. Any animal lover will be overwhelmed by this beautiful facility that Kendall has and we only wish anyone with a need for this type of animal care will contact her. Signed: Pat and Mel Kihn Abbotsford, B.C. |

Four years ago, my Jack Russel Terrier, Jayda, had surgery on her right hip. (Femoral head and neck osteotomy). The veterinarian who performed surgery suggested that swimming would provide best therapy for Jayda following surgery. As there were no such facilities for animals at that time, I tried having her swim in the bathtub but it proved to be very difficult and stressful for both of us. One of the most significant problems I have had throughout Jayda's recovery is getting her to bear weight on the affected leg. Another is the stiffness that has developed in her lumbar spine as a result of favouring her right hip area. After one session at K9H2O, Jayda's gait was noticeably different. There was increased mobility in her lumbar spine and she began walking with that Jack Russel bounce again! It will take time to see permanent results, as it has been over four years since Jayda's surgery but I know we are on the right path. The aquatis therapy is just what we have been waiting for. Thanks Kendall! Tamara Chadsey |
