Dr. Wong is Director of University Relations at the Museum of Science in Boston, MA. He is responsible for pursuing partnerships with higher education institutions that are aligned with the Museum's mission to promote Science, Technological Literacy, Public Understanding of Research, and other educational goals. He is also a Research Associate Professor in Mechanical Engineering at Tufts University in Medford, MA. His technical research areas are in thermal/fluid sciences applied to materials processing, microelectromechanical systems, and comparative biomechanics. He teaches college courses that integrate disciplines such as Gourmet Engineering which allows freshman to learn about heat transfer in the everyday setting of the kitchen. His educational outreach efforts include programs for girls in engineering, integrating engineering and algebra in the middle school, and professional development for teachers.
Lead Instructor Profile: Kristine G. Cheung
Ms. Cheung is a full-time lead teacher at the Toddler Loving Care (TLC) in Newtonville, MA. She is responsible for curriculum development and implementation for the Pre-K and Kindergarten-age children. She has a bachelor degree in psychology, advanced coursework in special education, and several years teaching experience from Pre-K to 3rd grade. She has developed project-based learning activities, centers, and thematic activities for mixed-age groups. She also has several years of business experience in small companies including computer-based technologies and full-service floral shop.
