SEPT 11, 2001

Tuesday, September 11 2001.
2:30 pm
It was nearly impossible to comprehend that the two twin towers pictured so frequently elsewhere in this site were suddenly replaced by a cloud of thick acrid smoke which could be smelled for miles.

Later that afternoon, the wind brifely shifted to allow a first glimpse of the skyline with the twin towers hauntingly absent. F-15s flying overhead became a regular sight.

Sunday, Sept. 16th. Nearly a week later, smoke continues to billow from the site.
