| After the summit came a nice long, fast and rather easy downhill part towards the parking area. This was the part that was good for my full-suspension bike. At the parking lot the van who was following us picked us up and brought us back to Moab. We were back at Base Camp around 3 pm. At 5 pm the Hummer was supposed to pick us up so we had some R&R time. The others went either for a swim in the nearby fishpond or for a small hike in Arches Natl. Park. At 5.10 pm the Hummer arrived at Base Camp. We went with 8 people, including James the trekleader, who was very excited about this trip. This is the way we were seated in the Hummer. X X X XX X XXX When we drove throught town, with the music on pretty loud, it was nice to feel the wind blowing in our hair. We soon arrived at the bottom of the trail. The first thing we saw was a GIANT hill of red rock. So we immediately did an awesome climb, which was about 65% uphill. Then on the other side we had to go down, it was great!!! We immediately saw the possibilities of this amazing vehicle. |
