After all that hiking we were glad we headed to our campground in Jackson Hole, WY.  Since we arrived pretty late, James decided that it was best that we ate out tonight.  Most of us went to either Taco Bell or Wendy's.  After dinner we went grocery shopping at Albertson's.  It was going to be a very quiet night because everybody was tired of the hiking we did all day long.

Day 7: 3/10/00 ==> Free day at Jackson Hole, WY.

James, Thomas, Rudy and Jon went for a total day-hike at Grand Teton Natl. Park.  Edith and I slept in and the rest of the group went for a horseride south of Jackson Hole.
I woke up around 10 am and ate some light breakfast.  After cleaning up the tent and my stuff a little bit, I went for some sightseeing in the town of Jackson Hole.

At around 1 pm I phoned home.  It was then 8 pm in Belgium and it was about 15C, while in Jackson it was more then 20C.

In the late afternoon I went mountainbiking on the Cache Creek Trail, southeast of Jackson Hole.  In town there were many places where you could hire a bike for around $25 or less for half a day of mountainbiking.  I went riding from 4 pm until 5.30 pm.  On the map it said that this trail was not for beginners but for more experienced riders so I thought it would be OK for me.  But on some parts it was quite hard.  The downhill part was on the same trail that I went up first.  This was especially nice since there was hardly anyone else riding it, so I could go all the way.  I even managed to do some awesome jumps on the wooden beams they put on the trail.  I think I've even reached a top speed of 50 km per hour.  It was GREAT!!!
