Corporate Medical Services (CMS) announces the opportunity to serve an additional corporate client.

These Occupational Medicine services are available on a part-time onsite and telephone consultation

basis, and provide experienced corporate level medical directorship under Dr. Jay Van Cura. 

Dr. Van Cura is a residency trained, board certified, Occupational Medicine physician specialist. 

He has significant expertise in developing Occupational Medicine programs within Corporations.

 

Since 1988, Dr. Van Cura has provided these corporate level services to four major Chicago area

corporations and has assisted in significant workplace injury reduction and compensation cost savings.

As your corporate consultant physician he can similarly add quality and value to your health care

services.

 

 

Examples of general corporate medical needs addressed by CMS services:

 · Create corporate medical policy and manage the uniform application of those standards among

   company physicians, employee personal physicians, and employees

 · Monitor, communicate Doctor to Doctor, and teach best practices to local company treating doctors

 · Determine employment qualifications and address medical discrimination and ADA issues/concerns

 · Develop examination forms that are sensitive to injury risk factors, and perform appropriate followup

 · Develop/enhance corporate central and worksite local medical records systems

 · Work as a team player with corporate nursing, safety, workers compensation, industrial hygiene,

   legal, benefits, environmental, disability management, regulatory, and other management personnel

 · Determine work modification and prevention of cumulative trauma disorders

 · Communicate regularly with company management and employee supervisors regarding workplace

   health and safety issues.

 · Survey the workplace for medical toxicology and safety hazards

 · Monitor workplace health and medical care trends through computer information systems

 · Serve as a workplace health information resource to reduce work loss

 · Assist in developing requested workplace health programs: substance abuse, bloodborne pathogens,

   ergonomics, HIPAA, hearing conservation, etc.

 

Examples of specific case management needs addressed by CMS services:

 · Provide work absence guidelines and review "delayed recovery" cases for loss control

 · Determine "work related" versus "personal" causation factors

 · Determine return to work readiness and light duty programs

 · Evaluate specific medical risk factors

 · Select, train, monitor, and communicate with company health care providers

 · Communicate with employees, company physicians, and personal health care providers
