Presents aren't everything, but of course, on Valentine's Day, presents are pretty great. This year, I specified that I did NOT want flowers or candy. Blaine did the perfect thing and he got me the ring pictured above, a DVD I wanted, a heart shaped picture frame, some chocolate (but just a little), a pen that is also a Belle doll, and some lip gloss that I'd been wanting from Avon. The ring is my favorite part, though. It is gold with three hearts, two pink sapphire, and the one in the middle is a ruby and it has a couple little accent diamonds in between the hearts. It's so beautiful. He even did a great job when he gave it to me. He took me to Bonefish, which is a really nice restaurant that we like, and I went to wash my hands before we ordered. When I got back, I was laughing and picking on him for a little faux paux he made the first time we went there, and he (gently) hit me with his roll of silverware. I thought he was hitting me so I would stop telling me the story, but that wasn't it. Finally, he asked me what I generally did when he hit me with silverware. I said, "Hit you back?" and then he said, "Yeah," and pointed to my silverware. I looked and he'd put the ring box in my napkin. I pulled it out and put it on. It was so sweet. And we had dinner and then we finished it off with creme brulee. It was the best Valentine's Day ever! *S* The kid is getting way better at this kinda stuff.
