  Emotional Bank Account

Emotional Bank Account

:A metaphor for the level of trust in an interpersonal relationship. We build a reservoir to use to work with people to get things done.

By acting negatively, we separate ourselves from others and lose any benefits we might have had.

Six Major Deposits:

  • Understand the individual
  • Attend to the little things
  • Keeping Commitments
  • Clarifying Expectations
  • Showing Personal Integrity Apologizing Sincerely when you make a Withdrawal
Methods
:Acts which build trust are deposits, acts that weaken trust are withdrawals.
  • Kindness Vs. Unkindness
  • Keep Vs. Break Promises
  • Honor Vs. Violating Expectations
  • Loyalty Vs. Duplicity
  • Sincere Apologies Vs. Pride
Thoughts
The bottom line here is that the most important aspect of Emotional Bank Account is to keep a high balance with OURSELVES! (Don’t lose your identity!!!)

When our sense of honor is stronger than our moods, we no longer give in to feelings. We keep ourselves in line with our values and principles. It is the source of self discipline and honor.

Any feedbacks and comments, feel free to send me your email so that I can post it into Open Discussion section.

Honesty

Being honest is being an individual of quality and character.

It is showing-through your words and through your behaviors-the truths you believe in, the values that are inherent in your most elevated thoughts, in your clearest visions.

When we are honest, others can trust us and we can trust ourselves. We know that what we bring to our relationships is devoid of any false sentiment, lies or impurity.

I open my heart to life. I am loyal to my principles (Emotional Bank Account) and to my beliefs. I know that my relationships can grow and move forward if I am honest at all times.

Closing the Door on Negative Ideas

Today, I refuse to accept negative comments and negative ideas. I see how criticism and negative thoughts can discourage and depress me. So I refuse to let people share them with me, just as I refuse to instigate them.

I close the door on negative thoughts and negative attitudes.
