Most of the participants were referred from the Children�s Rehabilitation Centre while others are from the Newfoundland School for the Deaf, the Vera Perlin Society, the Waterford Hospital and the school based Challenging Needs Programs. These participants may be challenged in a variety of ways: cerebral palsy, spina bifida, down�s syndrome, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, hearing and visual impairments,muscular dystrophy, development delay and autism are some of the conditions that affect the riders.
