The Maddie Report
Last weekend, Maddie went to the elementary school harvest festival. She immediately became excited because of all the people and noise. She loves a crowd. They had a bouncing house that maddie was scared of at first, but we ended up having a hard time keeping her out of it. She was the smallest one in it. The other kids ranged in age from 4-8. They jumped over, beside and occasionally on her, but she would just laugh and try to stand up again. One time she squealed so loud all the kids stopped jumping because they thought it was the whistle to get out. The man that ran it said it was available for birthday parties but I'm scared to ask how much it costs.
The next day Maddie came down with a really bad cold. She stayed with her Gammy and Papa Sunday while her Mommy and Daddy went to a NASCAR race. Her Papa watched about 6 straight hours of Barney with her and he was pretty delirious by the time we picked her up. She stayed out of school Monday-Wednesday.
The kids in our town went trick or treating for Halloween on Saturday night. Maddie was a Union Pines Viking Cheerleader. We completed her outfit with pigtails and pom poms. To save her mother's back, Maddie rode door to door in a little red wagon. Even though she would not say trick or treat, she did say thank you and bye bye to everyone. Maddie was scared to death that someone (especially me or her Gammy) was going to take her candy away. She held on to it for dear life.
At Sunday School yesterday morning, Maddie shocked her mommy by singing a song with her class. She must have learned it in daycare. She knew a lot of the words. The song was "This Little Light of Mine".
