The Maddie Report

Maddie is becoming more observant of her surroundings.  She walks aound naming everything she sees.  Door, car, grass, dark outside, light, etc...  She is getting so smart.  She is also artistic.  We have been coloring lately and she has very good control of her fingers.  Of course, she still gets wild and scribbles all over the page, but I can tell her to color a certain area and she really concentrates on that part.

Maddie has such a bad temper.  She gets mad at the least little thing.  We have got to get it under control before she can really hurt someone.  She was wrestling with her uncle Craig the other night and got pretty rough.  I make her say she's sorry when she hits and scratches and the she gives out 'I'm sorry sugar'.  She scratched her daddy Saturday night and brought blood.  She's a wild child.

She got kicked out of church again Sunday.  Craig and Amy sit behind Mom and I usually and Maddie goes back and forth between the two pews.  She was standing in the aisle and her Gammy told her ot some sit down.  She starts yelling "NO GAMMY!...NO GAMMY!" and mom grabs her and hands her to me.  At this point, Maddie is screaming "NO GAMMMMY!!!!!" and mom says to take her out.  I grab up all our stuff and leave.  When I get into the vestibule I stop to regroup.  Maddie sees her raisins (pieces, as she calls them) and wants some.  I give her a couple and she starts screaming for more.  High pitched screams that could break glass.  She got a spanking when we got outside and cried the whole way home.

After that, Maddie knew I was mad.  Maddie is the hardest person to stay mad at.  She kept hugging and kissing me and laying her head in my lap.
