Cara stared at her 3 friends, eyeing them each carefully, trying to determine what the hell was going on. On her immediate right was Lila. Lila, normally calm and reserved, looked pained. She was tense and snapping at all of her comments. Cara sighed. Something was definitely up with Lila.
She glanced at Jess and Amy Sutton. Something was up with all three of them. Maybe they�d had a wild threesome� Inwardly, Cara laughed at the thought. Yeah right.
Amy kept on looking at Lila before diverting her eyes. Her eyes were troubled, haunted.
The only one who looked good was Jess, although she was quiet. Her eyes were staring at the clock, mentally counting something. Her face was lively and vibrant.
Cara took a bite out of her burger. Something really weird was going on.
�Liz, do you want to go to the beach on Thursday? Or are we studying for History?� Enid asked her friend who was lying underneath the oak tree.
Liz cracked an eye open.
�Thursday? What�s Thursday?� Enid laughed in amusement.
�Come on, Liz. Holiday, remember? So, what do you say?� Enid looked at Liz. She was on another planet again, but this time it was different. Her eyes were wide with excitement.
�Liz? Hello?� Enid rolled over and moved a piece of Liz�s hair away from her face.
�Oh, I�m sorry Enid! I have�plans.� Liz hesitated. She needed to tell somebody! But who? She glanced at Enid. Could she trust her?
�Enid, I�I�ve got something to tell you.� Enid looked up, worried.
�What, Liz?� She was worried. She knew it was something by the way Liz was gripping her hands.
�I�.You see�..oh god�.I�m�-
�Liz!� Todd walked up, cutting Liz off. She stared up in shock as Enid hastily stood up.
�What do you want, Wilkins?� Todd looked at each of them, noticing the emotions running through Liz�s mind.
�It�s nothing. Forget it.� He walked away.
�God, I wish he didn�t do that,� Enid moaned. Liz gave her a confused smile.
�Why? Who cares about Todd Wilkins?� She got up, threw her lunch into the bin and walked inside the school building. Enid stared at her back. This wasn�t Liz. Something weird was going on.

Later that night, Jess stared at herself in the mirror. She needed to make sure everything was right. She was going to win Todd�s heart that night.
She checked her low-cut shirt was showing enough cleavage before covering it with a light jacket. If her parents saw her outfit, they�d lock her up. She rummaged around in the drawers, looking for some perfume.
�Dammit!� she scowled, holding the leaking bottle. Hesitating, Jess walked over to Liz�s door and put her hand on the doorknob to ask Liz for some perfume.
But she stopped. She could hear voices.
�Baby, we have Thursday off.�
�Well, I though we could�you know.� Jess heard Liz giggle softly. �Yeah. All day long�just the two of us�please, I want you so bad�� Jess� eyes widened at that.
�It�s a date? Ok�..I love you.� Jess heard Liz hang up the phone. Confused, she let her hand relax. Who the hell was that? IT couldn�t be Todd, could it?
Jess leaned against the wall. What if Todd only wanted to tell her that he wanted Liz back? She couldn�t deal with that. Setting her mind, Jess stalked through the bathroom to her bedroom. She applied some body lotion to her taut body. She WOULD make Todd hers, and he�d forget all about Liz. And Jess knew exactly how to do it.
