~~POEMS~~

Hey everyone! =) This page is dedicated to poetry! =) Hope u guys like it! I'm not much of a poem writer, but I enjoy reading them as much as the next person. If u have any poems u would like to submit to this page...I'll be happy to take a look! =)

One of the first poems is from a friend of mine in Louisiana, Darrell. Once, I asked him an opinion about one of my pictures that are posted. One of the pictures is one that I don't feel is very flattering. He was so sweet about it and he maintains that he was just telling the truth. In fact, here's what he said: I am just telling the truth, if you wanted me to be sweet, I would say, with an angelic visage such as yours, you could easily melt away the conflict out of the most turbulent of hearts, and your figure is likened to an angels essence, to which not even Shakespeare could write the proper sonnet to...(Now, how many people can pull that off?)

~*Untitled*~

To the celestial beings above, I praise,
for sending to this earth, a dove, unflawed, sweet, and yet discreet.
I count myself among the blessed to have her grace to meet my eye.
I feel so at peace, the peace that is the peace of a man ready to die,
only to find himself in the graces of a being of such angelic splender.
The love I feel for her, so tender,
it is as if I am in a sweet surrender to her.
The soul that is shown through her eyes,
makes even the most contrite hearts of evil,
seek the virtue of light.

-Darrell

~*Never*~

Never say I love you
If you really don't care
Never talk about feelings
If they aren't really there
Never hold my hand
If you are going to break my heart
Never say you are going to
If you don't plan to start
Never look into my eyes
If all you do is lie
Never say hello
If you really mean goodbye
If you really mean forever
Then say you will try
Never say forever
Cause forever makes me cry

~*How Do I Love Thee*~

How do I love thee ? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.
I love thee to the level of everyday's
Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.
I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;
I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise.
I love thee with the passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints,--I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life !--and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death.

-Elizabeth Barrett Browning
