lyrics by the Gin Blossoms

You all can blame Caleb for this website. His little page of writing made me pine for a place to post my stuff up. I used to have a website showcasing my writing way back in the day, but it sucked. Plus, it died after a while.

Now, though, I have the power to make my own graphics, lame as they may be. I'm taking advantage of the eight days left on my trial Paint Shop Pro and making a new place for my words. This website is here for a few purposes. First, I like the idea of having an online archive of what I've done, in case the hard copies go missing. I feel as though I'll be more likely to write if I'm putting my words up somewhere. And finally, I like the idea that perhaps someone will come across this website and read my work.

Updates (and song lyrics):

September 1--See Amy. See Amy ignore her website. Ignore your website, Amy Rae! :) I have been busy what with going to Germany and getting ready for college (I leave tomorrow and move in the next day!). I do, however, have one teensy tiny update: I have a new homie. Her name is Mackenzie and she is awesome. Go check out her website. Our lyrics today are freaky sounding in the recording, but dang is it an awesome song:

Little fish, big fish
Swimming in the water.
Come back here, man.
Gimme my daughter.

July 20--There haven't been updates lately, as you might have noticed. I've taken a break from the archival part of the site and am working on collecting quotes, songs, and information for the coming section on OCD. It will have a Q&A-style page of information for y'alls perusal, but most of it will be quotes, mantras, and things to listen to--that section's mostly for me. I want to be prepared if I get struck with loneliness when I'm at college. And on the topic of loneliness, these lyrics make my heart wrench a bit:

How I wish, how I wish you were here.
We're just two lost souls
Swimming in a fish bowl,

Year after year,
Running over the same old ground.
What have we found?
The same old fears.
Wish you were here.
