Updates and Song Lyrics Past

Index page space isn't cheap (actually, it's free, so that's a lie), so I'm putting old updates here. Each update comes with a bit of a song, because I like song lyrics, heh. :)

July 14--I've started to find more interesting pictures for the left-hand corner. I'll leave my boots on the front page, but I want to have some odd pictures for the others. If you look around, you'll see that I've actually gotten pretty far in this little project. My favourite is the picture of Columbia on my bio page--go check it out! And speaking of Columbia...

Well I was walking down the street just a-having a think
When a snake of a guy gave me an evil wink.
He shook-a me up, he took me by surprise.
He had a pickup truck, and the devil's eyes.
He stared at me and I felt a change.
Time meant nothing, never would again.

Later that day, July 13--I've got links to my homies now, which is awesome. Also, I've begun to type up my unfinished NaNo from two years ago--you can find Part One in Silence, Soliloquy, and Requiem under Story Collections. (They got their own page, too--that's news as well.) And made a section for my bio, movie recs, and links. As for lyrics...

She's so swishy in her satin and tat
In her frock coat and bipperty-bopperty hat
Oh God, I could do better than that

July 13--Check it out! New section! Story Collections houses those stories with lots of thought behind them. I typed up the entirety of my 24-page behemoth, too. Enjoy! Also enjoy this:

"Tell me am I right to think that there could be nothing better
Than making you my bride and slowly growing old together?"
"Don't you feed me lines about some idealistic future.
Your heart won't heal right if you keep tearing out the sutures."

July 12--Added more to the "story fragments" section, including a 24-page behemoth that involves eye-gouging. That one will probably get its own little section the way Melly and Mossie did. Also, for your hungering ears:

"I believe in the Power of Good
I Believe in the State of Love
I Will Fight For the Right to be Right
I Will Kill for the Good of the Fight for the Right to be Right"

July 11--Put up a villanelle and a sestina, and also some more about Melly and her grandmother. Beyond that, this is all I've got to say right now:

Suck it in, suck it in, suck it in
If you're Rin Tin Tin or Anne Boleyn
Make a desperate move or else you'll win
And then begin to see
What you're doing to me
This MTV is not for free
It's so PC it's killing me
So desperately I sing to thee of love
Sure but also rage and hate and pain and fear of self
And I can't keep these feelings on the shelf
I've tried well no in fact I lied
Could be financial suicide but I've got
Too much pride inside to hide or slide
I'll do as I'll decide and let it ride until I've died
And only then shall I abide this tide
Of catchy little tunes of hip three minute ditties
I wanna bust all your balloons
I wanna burn all of your cities
To the ground I've found
I will not mess around
Unless I play then hey
I will go on all day hear what I say
I have a prayer to pray
That's really all this was

July 10--I've got my full and complete records of tour online. Unfortunately, I only kept a diary for the first four days, but it's pretty interesting. Oh, and Sara says that I need to point out that no, the person in my banner is most certainly not me. Those are my shoes in the upper left-hand corner, though. I'm going to screw around with the menu, because it looks stupid just now. Working on a links page and a Movies You Should Watch page.

Opening day--It's a baby website! The links at the left are pretty random right now (and the pages they go to aren't uniform), because I've just started putting stuff up. It'll look semi-okay when I've got more online to show off.
