Poetry
Well, here you'll find poetry I've written. A lot of it is from either Literary Writing or AP Lit. I've grouped the form poems by form. Each free verse type thing gets its own little page.
Form Poems
Anglo-Saxon Verse--I wish I hadn't decided to order these alphabetically--I hate Anglo-Saxon verse. Feel free to skip this link.
Blank Verse--Only one. I'm not very good at blank verse, I'm afraid.
Cinquains--I like cinquains a great deal more. They're fun.
Haiku--I love writing haiku. Not as much as my sister, but I love it. Expect to see this updated a lot.
Limericks--Limericks are hard for me to write, but they're worthwhile when I can finally think of something to say.
Sestinas--I love writing sestinas. I only have one up right now, but I really like it. Read it!
Sonnets--Sonnets are hard for me, but I think they're definitely worth a try at writing.
Terza Rima--There's only one just now, but I like it.
Villanelles--I'm not very good with villanelles, but there's one up for your perusal.
Formless Poems
Sisterly Resemblance--A pretty crappy poem with a good moment or two. I wrote it for AP Lit.
A Sound Exercise--I never gave this a proper title. It was an experiment in using sound for AP Lit, and it turned out with a lot weirder bits of imagery than I'd planned.
Measuring Up--Nothing much to say about it.
