Here we are in the month of June!! And in this month we get some new summer constellation star challenges. Good luck and happy hunting.
Naked Eye: no telescope is required but I want you to try and spot Arcturus and then from there I want you to find the constellation of Bootes. This should again be relatively easy but your going to need a star chart and a good set of eyes. Good luck here.
Binocular star challenge:
We are sticking with Bootes here as the challenge, but for those with binoculars I want you to find the 2 double stars in this same constellation. Clue
Telescope Star challenge:
For those of you with telescopes, I want to direct you to someplace different. Your going to be looking for the M5 in serpens. Also I want you to find M13 as well. This will take a little patience with those on the 4" scope range but you can find it. Time to do some digging.
Here is the extra credit:
I want someone that is really doing the star challenge to send me a snapshot they personally took with either film or a digital camera. Please no cheating or pulling from someone elses web site. This is just extra credit.
