Our Mutual Ancestors...
WILLIAM ALEXANDER BRUCE was born on January 23, 1825 in Habersham, Georgia.
ROBERT B. BRUCE was born on September 15, 1826, Habersham,Georgia.
Robert's younger brother ABRAHAM BRUCE was born in 1838.
ROBERT B. BRUCE & ABRAHAM are first cousins to WILLIAM
through their paternal grandparents.
James Bruce, the first of our Bruce line to be born in America, and Priscilla Bradley.
James Bruce's father, also James Bruce, came here from Scotland.

WILLIAM ALEXANDER BRUCE married SARAH ANN WALKER, daughter of MEMORY WALKER and MARTHA (?). Sarah Ann was born on September 20, 1827 in Hall, Georgia and was said to be at least part Cherokee.

ABRAHAM BRUCE married PRESHA BYERS BERRY on May 17, 1857 in Union Co. GA PRESHA was born in TN, daughter of David Byers & Catherine Freeman
ABRAHAM and PRESHA had a slightly smaller family..
Among them was YERBY CARLTON "Y.C."
Robert B. Bruce married Catherine Cearley on, 6 April 1849.
And they had children too!!!
Our Bruce Cousins' children grew up...
got married...
and moved away...
Successive generations lost track of each other...
But Now,
