JAMES BRUCE was born Abt. 1735 in Scotland (at least we think he was anyway, we're not quite sure), and died 1819 in Wolf Creek, Pendleton, Pickens. S.C.. He married MARY (Surname???) Bet. 1756 - 1760 in Anderson, Pendleton, S.C.. She was born Abt. 1740 in Pendleton Dist., S.C., and died Bet. 1820 - 1833 in Pendleton Dist., S.C..

On June 4, 1787, JAMES BRUCE was officially granted 201 acres "on Wolf Creek of Twelve Miles River about two miles from Hickory Nut Mountain" now Pickens County, South Carolina.

vii.  REBECCA BRUCE, b. Abt. 1770.

viii. FEMALE BRUCE, b. Abt. 1772.

JAMES BRUCE was born June 28, 1760 in Pendleton Dist., S.C., and died 1830 in Habersham, Ga.. He married PRISCILLA BRADLEY Abt. 1787 in Pendleton Dist., S.C., daughter of ABRAHAM BRADLEY and SARAH LANE?. She was born September 29, 1769 in Pendleton Dist., S.C., and died 1832 in Habersham, GA.

Children of JAMES BRUCE and PRISCILLA BRADLEY are:

i.  JAMES BRUCE, b. January 31, 1790, Wolf Creek, Pendleton, Pickens. S.C.; d. July 14, 1861, Cherokee Co., Ga..

iv.  JONATHAN BRUCE, b. February 08, 1788.

vii.  ACQUILLA BRUCE, b. March 24, 1801.

viii. SARAH BRADLEY BRUCE, b. March 21, 1802.

ix.  BETSY BRUCE, b. August 24, 1804.

x.   DANIEL A BRUCE, b. March 03, 1807.

xi.  GEORGE OSBORN BRUCE, b. August 02, 1809.

xii.  PATIENCE CAROLINE BRUCE, b. August 25, 1812.
