ABRAHAM B. BRUCE born Jan 29, 1798  Wolf Creek,, Pendleton Dist., SC. He married SARAH HOOD (born 1805) on Apr 3, 1823/1825 in Habersham Co. GA.  

         Sarah's first child, Edley Hood, had been born b. 1820, SC and d.1906 Cherokee Co.,NC.  He married Martha Conley.

Abraham received land in the Cherokee Land Lottery.  In the 1840 census, he lived in Union County, Georgia.  He and Sarah had nine children. His fourth child, Norman "Yearby" Bruce was the ancestor the Fannin County Bruces. 

Abraham Died Jun 2, 1855 in Union, GA. Buried in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Union, GA

Sarah died Apr 17, 1879. 

They had the following children:

ii. Robert B. Bruce   b.15 Sept 1826, Habersham, GA-d.1 Mar 1906, West Plains, Howell Co.,MO married: Catherine Cearley, 6 April 1849

iii. Priscilla Bruce  b.1828/1830, Habersham, GA- married: Richard Bryant, 10 July 1853, Union Co.

iv. Norman Yearby Bruce  b.1830, Habersham, GA-18 Oct 1865,Philadelphia,TN married: Susanna Mashburn

v. Perry/Jerry (?) Bruce  b.2 Jan 1832, Habersham, GA-? Choctaw Co., MS married: Martha Ann Mashburn,17 April 1855

vi. Lewis Bruce b.April 1833, Habersham, GA-27 May 1916,Cherokee Co., NC married: Nancy

vii. Julia Ann (Judith) Bruce b.Mar 1835, Habersham, GA- ? married (1) James Chastain, 5 Jan 1854  (2)John Beaver, 26 Nov 1856

YERBY7 CARLTON "Y.C." BRUCE, Born Dec 28, 1859/60 in Union Co. GA.  Yerby moved to AR at an early age and married SARAH ANNIS/EASTER EDWARDS orETRIDGE, born 9-30-1858, daughter of Charles D. Edwards & Easter (or Esther) S. Dodson or Dotson, before 1880 census in Van Buren Co., AR.   Yerby and Sarah were living near Sarah's parents in Van Buren, AR in 1880.  They later moved to Pushmataha Co., OK and are both buried there.

Yerby died on May 11, 1931. He is buried in Nolia.
