If someone wants to die, it is
illegal for anyone to assist or participate. This is known in
most states as second degree murder. I'm not a lawyer, a judge,
or a jury, but even marginal research will prove that Dr. Kevorkian-
he physically assisted people who genuinely wanted to die.
They freely chose self-deliverance, the place and time of their own
death, and a compassionate doctor went to prison for helping them.
In our society, it's
incorrect to consider - or even discuss - ending your own life.
It's just not socially acceptable. People try to force their
beliefs down your throat, and insist that "it isn't God's
plan", along with a zillion other statements to justify their
thoughts. Yet these same people come up with statements like
these:
"She's at peace
now." "She's in a better place."
"She's not suffering anymore." Is it any wonder that
if these statements are really true, it would
take a pretty dumb person not to want exactly the same things?
It's wrong to want peace? To end misery and suffering?
This is wrong?
These people, though trying to
be helpful, fail to understand what it's like to live with endless
depression, day in and day out. How could they
understand? They don't have the stress and pressures -
they're busily planning their next party or vacation. They're
busy watching a football game on TV or something.
The button word is "yougotta".
In discussions with my psychologist, we frequently laugh - because
100% of the people who think they're trying to "help" just
drown you with "yougotta" "yougotta" "yougotta".
None of them comprehend COULD and WOULD. Along
with the "yougottas" comes the guilt: one can't live up to
their thoughts, expectations, or beliefs. "You gotta get
over this." One has to move fast enough according to
their judgment. Maybe their judgments are wrong - that's worth
thinking about.
Death is inevitable.
However, some of the methods to bring about self-deliverance seem not
only questionable, but probably very risky, painful, and possibly
protracted, if they're effective at all.
Death is an intentional act of government in
almost all states of the United States, and, as far as I know, most
countries in the world. Death sentence methods would
include gas chamber, electrocution, firing squad, and hanging.
Civilization has come a long ways since the days of the guillotine,
being nailed on a cross, or being drawn and quartered. However,
one common denominator seemed obvious to me as I read, asked
questions, and studied. Many states offer a choice of method to
those that are sentenced to death.

however, while the states by their
'armed power' can do whatever they might think they're right to do, the
streets always have their own ways to beat it ..
