My children come to me and my husband, trusting completely, that we will take care of all their needs. They come to us with perfect understanding that if anything is wrong, we can and will fix it because we are their parents and love them. All they need to do is ask. Sometimes, we know their need before they do, or before they ask. We even do nice things for them when their behavior doesn't warrant a treat merely because we love them and want only to give them good things. Sound familiar?
The song Michael Card wrote called "Close Your Eyes So You Can See" is such a perfect picture, to me, of God's perfect love for us. I realized that by becoming little children in the sense of trusting our Heavenly Father for our every need according to His riches in Glory, through Christ Jesus, we adults can enjoy the relationship God intended from creation.
Michael tells us that if we close our eyes, we can see "The way He meant this world to be, and understand with a childlike heart the place WE END is where WE START." (Emphasis added)
