Weather Plays Havoc with Start Time
Jon and Jo go to battle in the UK
Fog covering the first tee caused a delay to the start of the match at Chamberlain Park.  Players were not too upset as the World Cup Cricket Semi-Final was on.  The New Zealand team performed poorly however.  All was not lost as the toasted sandwiches were pretty good and the pie warmer took a hit. During his trip to the UK Jon organised a match with the man himself, JT.  No score has been entered into the records and as there was only two participants, it was not official match.  Attempts to replicate the shield and produce a travelling shield have hit the road block of too much work on at school.  Stay tuned however as it is a work in progress.

Stupid Moment
Although not the first ever official match held for the JT Shield, it was the first one where the shield was actually competed for as it was the day the shield was purchased.  The course was Mangakino, the heart of King Country.  It was a competitive match where during a longest drive comp, Rusty actually managed to make good contact and won even though he didn't even use the faithfull 7 iron. At some stage of the final night during the legendary first trip we ran into this fella on the left.  Jo, having rescued his pants back off Rusty (although a little worse for wear) struck up a friendship.  The bloke on the left wanting to join in on the fun that was being had posed with Jo for this humble website.  It is not known who the mystery man is, or whether or not he usually wears as pants as high as Jo does.  What we do know is that it is stupid moment number 1.  If you would like to submit your own stupid moment, joke, picture etc please email.
Jon moved to NZ via the great island of Gurnsey.  Up untill the most recent match he was the only player to have played every game.  He is seen here with his pride and joy....not the LADA but infact the bonnet.  The history of the bonnet can be traced back to the SaveMart  in Manurewa and before that who can only imagine the fun it had with it's former owner.  Jon's aspariations for the future are to one day win a dance off and to always be loyal to his current golfing equipment.
