-Crucial
MH News!:
-Before I go on my few day vacation, I would really like
everyone to know about a very dangerous maphack which has
stole literally thousands of accounts because of what
it promises. It IS volatile and it is active - Be aware and
warned.
EasyMap Diablo II v1.1
This is, surprisingly, a real maphack for 1.11, but many
features of it are nowhere to be found such as basic terrain
layout and revealing and item color codes, making it a gimp
of a maphack to begin with. Bound within it resides a Trojan
Keylogger which when launched with Diablo, logs the account
information as entered and automatically opens up port 1010
on your computer and sends the info to its creator,
"Netter". At all costs, even though it works
somewhat, DO NOT attempt to download or use it under any
circumstances!

-Breaking Update!:
Ladder Season II is to be reset Monday, August 8, 2005! The
reset is finally here folks! Now I will once again be able
to wallow in the cesspool of bugged and extreme items in the
realm of Non-Ladder once again!

-As the 1.11 patch scours its way across the internet
like wildfire, I may as well post it here as well -
There are only a couple significant things which the patch
fixed which were disconnecting by trying to sell a quest
item and Diablo's seals, when broken, not spawning Diablo
sometimes. I have one thing which I am orgasmically happy
over though -
EBUG ITEMS WERE NOT DELETED IN
1.11!!
My ass was sweating like hell as I logged on and I was so
relieved that my collection of ebugged items were not
deleted that I farted and. some shit leaked out.
Also, 10 New Runewords and "new Unique Items that will
drop from Special Bosses" have been added, but there is
no information on them anywhere so far as of today...
I have played around and only found limited (and
unconfirmed) info about a few new items-
Keys of Hate/Terror/Destruction - Keys made my transmuting
Baal/Meph/D's eyes/brains/hearts and horns to create keys of
themselves. When all three keys are (transmuted?), it opens
a (portal?) to Lilith, a new Andariel-like boss which drops
insane items. Lilith is Andariel's sister and rumored Baal's
lover.
Also, there is a new addition of a +6, yes +6
to skill anni-like charm with +res, attributes, etc. which
is (supposedly) spawned by having 12 "Standard of
Heroes" items in inventory and killing any of the now 5
or more uber versions of bosses and mini-bosses.
In fact, I even traded for one of these little things just
for the hell of having a new item -

-Official announcement: Diablo II is to be down on
August 1st at 10 A.M. - 2 P.M. for a four-hour server
maintenance session which is rumored to be upgraded servers!
Could this mean that lag in DII and SC (same server games)
could be no more?
-Deep inside, we all truly doubt it would be a major change
in money put into further support this ancient game, though,
because Blizzard abandoned this game for the most part
except for the occasional addition of more RW's. Perhaps
this server maintenance will add more RW's?! Nobody knows
for sure, but what we do know for sure is that it has been
officially confirmed that it will not be for ladder
turnovers. Which is quite a disappointment.

-Diablo Handheld?
On July 18,2005, an odd piece of news has revealed itself.
Apparently, Blizzard asked readers "If they would buy a
PSP or DS version of Diablo II if a wireless enabled
multiplayer mode was included." I find this quite odd,
however, as I don't see who the hell would want to play this
game on a dinky screen... The graphics are bad enough on
full 800x600 resolution.
-Blizzard of course, has not confirmed anything of actual
development, but this does rise question about how obsessed
with DII you can get to want to take it with you wherever
you go!

-The USWest Realm has been down for quite a number of
hours now and I know it isn't just my machine because I
tried to get on with my laptop as well with no luck.
-Apparently, I am not the only one who experienced this as
the d2sector.net forums are buzzing about "Finally! The
ladder reset is here!" This may be very likely although
I am a bit skeptical as, of course, Blizzard never updates
the Arreat Summit with anything of actual significance, so I
suppose we won't know for sure until the realm is back up.
-Perhaps it's nothing at all though. Perhaps it's simply
Battle.net randomly kicking off players and I just happen to
be one of those players. I am really looking forward to a
ladder reset, and I don't know how much longer I can take
not having my perpetual fix of DII ! (lol)

-New counter added. Trying to make it fit in to the
Diablo II theme.
-Word from Blizzard about its first Blizzard Convention
known as "BlizzCon", although I doubt any of us
will be attending, I feel this will not be much interest for
Diablo players, however, for these two reasons:
1. At the time that this was announced, no real details of
Diablo in this convention have been other than it is in part
a "celebration" for the Diablo franchise.
2. It is SC and WC-Based with live tournaments and PC LAN
parties between the attendees. I assume a Diablo PK-fest is
not really the idea of a "tournament" to Blizzard.
In my opinion, this could be an opportunity for a new SC
Manager to gain himself worthy of the title by attending
this convention if one isn't permanently decided by then.
-As stated from Blizzard:
"BlizzCon is to take place on October 28 & 29 in
Orange County, California. Attendees can look forward to a
variety of events, including participating in question and
answer panels with the developers of World of Warcraft and
Starcraft: Ghost, playing Blizzard games live with friends,
and watching the world's best Warcraft III and Starcraft
pro-gamers compete in the BlizzCon Invitational
Tournament."
-Perhaps this means that Blizzard has mostly forgotten about
the Diablo series, or perhaps it isn't mentioned because
they are keeping DIII in seclusion until they are ready to publicly
reveal it?

-New Diablo II Site up and running! New pages such as:
Downloads, Shrines, and Basics. Thanks to Arreat Summit for
the information provided on 2 of those pages.
-This website gives the webmaster a wider variety to have
more Links, and not have iFrames, which is good for long
text pages such as this home page. The watermark background
makes it easier to read and looks cooler in a sort of way,
have fun with the new site and enjoy! (Travis)
-Rumor getting around that ladder is to reset July 19th!
Some say sooner, but this date has been more publicized by
many people. No actual confirmation on Arreat Summit though.
-Now I (Jim) will be able to use my ladder characters with
my NL items and such. By the way, I really don't prefer
ladder, it's just that a lot of the better items I have just
happen to be on there. A couple things I do like about
ladder, however, is there is no such thing as "Rune
Duping." It isn't possible for any 'dupe' hack written
now to do so. Why can't they use this same technology on
non-ladder? "Poofing" runes and items are really a
drag when you trade a bunch of stuff for them only to find
them gone the next day. Also, there are much better
runeworlds on ladder such as Spirit, Infinity, Fortitude,
and such like that. Hopefully, these will be available in NL
as well once ladder turns over.

-Very bad turn of events here... I was searching for the
"Burning Crusade" when I came across this:
As quoted from Blizzard's World of Warcraft website:
"Once Sargeras saw that his armies were amassed and
ready to follow his every command, he launched his raging
forces into the vastness of the Great Dark. He referred to
his growing army as the Burning Legion. To this date, it is
still unclear how many worlds they consumed and burned on
their unholy Burning Crusade across the universe." So
therefore it is indeed World of Warcraft related and all
hopes of it being the title to Diablo III are now shattered.
Damn it!
May 28, 2005
-Very interesting little tidbit of info that I found
here while searching through the d2sector forums:
May 3, 2005 - Blizzard has very recently registered this
game title, but are still not revealing what exactly game it
is to be under. Of course, exploding rumors are that Diablo
III : The Burning Crusade fits more than perfectly for the
theme of Diablo, but there is no proof as of yet.
May 24, 2005
-Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra has recently played
during some recording sessions for the Diablo III
Soundtrack, under conductor Kirk Trevor - The 80-member
orchestra in interest is available for a reported $20,000.
-New Links have been added to the website,, that is very
useful if you want to download more hacks, mods, etc. The
links also have a huge amount of information about Diablo II
and upcoming events, also updates.
May 23, 2005
-Furvert will now be assisting me (NP) in updating the
