The Jones Reeves Family association represents relatives of Julia Mae Jones Reeves (Williams, Marshall, Lewis, and Jones) as well as relatives of Willie (Shobe) Reeves (Reeves and Rhymes). This association is comprised of four separate lineages (A, B, C, D) that are entwined with each other in that family members may be listed on one or more lineage charts. Each lineage chart begins with the known eldest descendant in that family line with their offspring listed in descending order. Most of these records have been collected from various genealogical sources as well as individual narratives of family members. They are not meant to be all inclusive or complete. The discovery and revelation of new and additional information is ongoing. This is an attempt to link as many blood relatives as possible into one family line so as to get a clearer picture of who our ancestors are. This information will prove helpful when completing the application for membership. We need your input to make this possible; therefore, won't you please consider helping us with this momentous endeavor?
Click on one of the links below to be taken to a separate page devoted to that family line. Feel free to browse each of the lineage groups and then check out your family's lineage group to learn more.

We would like to start a fund to help raise money for a DNA research project. Ideally, we would need to get members from the Jones side as well as the Reeves side of the family to help trace our Family Roots. Unfortunately due to the travesty and the system of disenfranchisement inflicted upon our ancestors as a result of the holocaust of slavery, we are like a lost people traveling about with no real connection to our roots. This is your opportunity to help uncover what will sure to be some amazing information about who we were as a people. Please if you would, make a donation of any amount to help out with this project.
