Yamaguchi Momoe was born in a hospital at Ebisu, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo. A 8-month premature baby, she weighted a mere 2800g.
Right after being discharged from the hospital, she was left in the care of her maternal grandparents. Momoe has many fond memories, as her grandparents and auntie doted on her.

1964 Momoe's sister was born. In the same year, her parents seperated.
Apr 1965 Momoe entered Seya Primary in Yokohama-shi, Kanagawa-ken.

Her mother, Momoe and her younger sister moved to Yokosuka-shi. Hence, Momoe transferred to Tsuru Kubo Primary.

15 Oct 1972 Momoe passed the 1st and 2nd qualifying rounds of "Star Tanjo" at the Yomiuri Hall in Yuraku-cho, Tokyo. She was chosen (out of almost 700) for the preliminary round.
01 Nov 1972 Preliminary round of "Star Tanjo" at Kourakuen Hall. Her total scores were 392.

Grand Final of "Star Tanjo" at Kourakuen Hall too. Momoe sang "Kaiten Mokuma" and came in 2nd. After which, she recieved some 11 name cards of different recording companies that were interested in signing her as their artiste.
Dec 1972 Momoe decided to sign with Holi Production.
Feb 1973 Momoe made her debut as an actress with TBS TV drama "Keiji-kun".

Momoe moved to Tokyo to stay with a female manager of her producing company.
Apr 1973 Momoe transferred to Shinagawa Secondary, which is a private school in Tokyo. There, she befriended Sakurada Junko.
14 Apr 1973 Momoe made her debut on the big screne with "Toshigoro".

Momoe made her debut as a singer with the single "Toshigoro" (CBS Sony).

Together with Mori Masako and Sakurada Junko, the trio are labeled "Hana no Chu-san Trio".
Apr 1974 Momoe entered Hiji Girl Gakuen Senior High, which is also a private school.
May 1974 Momoe met Tamokazu for the first time. They were shoting a CM in a park. Momoe was 14 then and Tomokazu was 22.
04 Oct 1974 Momoe played the main role in the TBS Aka series "Akai Meiro".
28 Dec 1974 Momoe played the main actress in the big screne with Toho's "Izu no Odoriko".
31 Dec 1974 Momoe made her first appearance on NHK Utagassen, singing "Hito Natsu no Keiken".
27 Mar 1977 "Hana no Ko-san Trio" (Momoe, Masako and Junko) Disband Concert at Japan Budo-kan, Tokyo Kudan.
Jun 1977 As Momoe's attendance at Hiji Girl Gakuen Senior High was insufficient, she graduated in June, while the rest of her classmates graduated in March.
Jan 1979 Tomokazu formally proposed to Momoe in Hawaii. Momoe accepted his proposal promptly. She even suggested that she would retire after their marriage.
20 Oct 1979 Momoe announced her relationship with Miura Tamokazu during her concert at Osaka Kousei Nenkin Hall.
07 Mar 1980 Momoe and Tomokazu held a press conference to announce their wedding date and Momoe's plan to retire after marriage.
05 Oct 1980 The last day of Momoe's Farewell Concert at Japan Budo-kan.
15 Oct 1980 Momoe retired officially from show business.
19 Nove 1980 Momoe and Tomokazu were married at the Reinan Church in Akasaka, Tokyo.
06 Dec 1980 Momoe's last movie "Koto" was shown.
