STOCK

My truck is one of my most prized possessions. As I mentioned on my home page, I am a sport truck enthusiasts.  Now, a sport truck consists of more than just high performance.  It also includes custom body and interior work.  My truck is a 1993, regular cab, short wheelbase, chevy silverado.  From the factory, it is equiped with a 5.7 liter (350 cu. in.) V-8 engine with an automatic 4L60E electronic overdrive transmission.  The rear end consists of a 3.08:1 ring to pinion gear ratio.  The interior from the factory is dressed with a dark blue cloth on the bench seat, floor, roof, and door panels.  It has power windows and locks. It's original exterior color was white.

MODIFICATIONS

EXTERIOR

My truck is under construction at the present date, but I will explain what is done so far.  First off, the truck was stripped of the stock paint and painted a silver pearl white.  Second, the truck was lowered 2 in. in the front with Belltech spindles and 4 in. in the rear with Belltech shackles and hangars.  Then, the wheels were changed.  So far, I have been through three sets of aftermarket wheels.  The first ones were some 15x10 in. polished aluminum Eagle Alloys riding on BFGoodrich 265/50-15 tires, second ones were two front 17x8 in. and two rear 17x9.5 in. polished aluminum Eagle Alloys riding on two BFGoodrich 245/45-17 G-Force and two BFGoodrich 275/40-17 G-Force tires respectively, last and current set is some 20x8.5 in. chrome X20 Spy wheels riding on Nitto 255/35-20 555 Extreme  tires.  Fourth, the factory elephant ear mirrors were replaced with some small sport mirrors.  The stock tail lights were replaced with a set of european tail lights.  The antenna was replaced with a shorter billet aluminum antenna.

INTERIOR

The interior of my truck has a few changes that I would like to share.  First, the stock steering wheel was replaced with a smaller 13 in. carbon fiber GT performance steering wheel.  Then the stock radio was replaced by a Pioneer CD player.  Now, the CD player is out and a Pioneer DVD system was installed.  The system consists of a head unit (which took the CD player's place) and an overhead moniter which is mounted on the roof between the visers.  The four stock 4x6 one-way speakers were replaced with four 4x6 Infininty Kappa series two-way speakers.  Behind the seat is a custom made box with two 12 in. Kicker Competition VR subwoofers pushed by a Kicker ZR240 amplifer (which is imbedded into the box).  Finally, the stock bench seat was replaced by two bucket seats out of a 98 model extended cab silverado.  The seats are equiped with power air for lower back, and the drivers side has 6-way electrical movement to adjust to the driver's comfort.  I had the seats upolstered with blue cloth to match the stock interior color.
PERFORMANCE

The engine is all stock.  I have done a few external mods.  First, the exhaust was replaced with JBA stainless steel catback headers running into dual 2.5 in. aluminized pipes muffled by two, two chambered, Flowmaster mufflers.  Next, I put on a Reactive cold air intake system along with a Helix Power Tower throttle body spacer.  A custom tailored chip from Superchips, Inc. was installed as well as a low temp. thermostat.

FUTURE DREAMS

EXTERIOR

I plan on getting the truck repainted the same color with baby blue ghost flames all served on a new escalade front cap.  The truck will be as smooth as a baby's rump due to the shave job.  My truck will also be wearing some big spinning dub deuces.  Just as Nikes have air suspension, my shoes will too.

INTERIOR

I don't really plan on doing much more in the interior unless I get bored.  I will put a digital instrument panel and maybe add a little more to the sound system.  I might even get the interior redesigned.

PERFORMANCE

I plan on changing the whole drive train.  The engine will be modified LS-1 or LS-6 vette engine.  The transmission will be of a high performance nature.  The rear end will probably consist of a four link system with 3.73 gears in the rear chunk.
